  1. Think we can safely assume Howe had no input in us parking the bus to Bighton like
  2. This is honestly the worst performance I've ever seen. 1 down 11 behind the ball against Brighton
  3. We shouldn't just let him do what he wants and bring in who he wants like, we need to plan for the future and we need a top class structure in place. You would hope he would be on board with that. The project is too big to be running the club like he's probably used to.
  4. The general patter on RTG is generic shouty 'Im hard and everybody else is a thick cunt'. It wouldn't mix with the pristine craic of this place. Would just be a mess of abuse and nonce defenders calling you a nonce.
  5. Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out a few of our players are actually decent with the ball. Remember when Mo Diame kept it under wraps for like a year that he was actually the best midfielder in Europe?
  6. "people in football" Aye like those people who thought sacking Bruce was some kind of cardinal sin
  7. It's mad how loads of people are paid a wage to literally just make up constant horseshit Like imagine your job was just to lie for a living? It must be so unfulfilling.
  8. Honestly I prefer him over Emery. Emery just never excited me at all after his Arsenal stint. We've never seen Howe with good players or money.
  9. The more I think on it the more I'm happy with him like. I just wish he had a tan and a fancy name.
  10. I find Howe to be an underwhelming appointment as I'd have preferred a gamble like Fonseca. He should be enough though and seems a safe 'interim' appointment. I would be surprised if he was here in 5 years winning the Champions League like
  11. I might have just made it up tbf Always assumed he was seen as an upcoming English Pep. That may have passed years ago like I've been out the loop
  12. I just don't get the Howe hype at all tbh, like I love Hughton but I would be equally baffled if there was constant talk of him being some kind of managerial prodigy. Hope I'm wrong obvs.
  13. It's not a hard task though. We have a lot of money to work with and we don't need to be aiming for the ceiling. There are plenty physical CDMs out there who can pick out a pass. Hundreds of solid fullbacks. Like we could replace half of our defence and midfield for less than £40m quite easily. I'm not saying we should go for Courtinho, but replacing our other positions shouldn't be a mammoth task.
  14. 'Relegation battle' is a bit of an archaic term mind in this sense mind, it's PFM defence usually. Teams escape the relegation zone quite easily all the time by just winning a few games back to back, that's what we want to do, not be grinding out draws against the bottom clubs. I mean it's not as heroic as escaping relegation by gosl difference but it's usually the sign of better management We're in that state now because we essentially have no manager and a squad who struggles to pass the ball about with any kind of intent. We have to reighn in expectations a bit but we SHOULD be able to assemble something in January capable of picking up wins against the bottom sides.
  15. In fairness to Courtinho it's only Barcelona where he's flopped. He found form at Bayern. Still on paper it's a tragedy in the making.
  16. Aye sticking with Ole when they could pretty much have the pick of 99.9% of managers out there is legitimately insane. I'll never understand the thought process behind it.
  17. How would people feel if we got Dr Harold Shipman for the interim?
  18. Odds on a porn tape leaking of Scholes and his daughter?
  19. Aye they're completely right actually like. Don't get me wrong, it's completely pointless as there's no going back at this point, but football is a complete bag of shite nowadays. The only real alternative is to support local lower league clubs or accept and join the horrific, money is everything elite. Following a club that middles about Premier League mediocrity until they're bought out by oil money is a complete joke but it's where we're at.
  20. Yeah I love Rafa but I really want a manager with a more modern attacking philosophy. The dream is Xavi, but he'll be destined for Barcelona if he does well so probably a bit pointless.
