  1. If Howe gets offended over us singing Rafa's name then he isn't the man I thought he was.
  2. Maybe something like "there was contact but not enough to go down" which is obviously wrong, but proves enough to them that he saw it and therefore won't overturn it? Either way the process is a joke like, I'm just trying to properly understand how these things work.
  3. Assuming it's accurate this was a good thread for getting to grips with the process. I can understand Kavanagh not thinking it was a penalty but I'm not sure what he could have told the VAR team? If he thinks there was no contact and ASM slips then it surely gets overturned as it's obvious he hasn't seen it? There's no way the VAR team wouldn't have seen that as a penalty so the issue has to have been in the interpretation of Kavanagh's view of it.
  4. It was just so obvious. Atleast with the Ederson one there was the explanation that everyone had just had a brain lapse and completely forgotten the rules. Thinking fouls didn't count in the box if the ball was lost. This time there was absolutely no explanation for why anyone wouldn't think it was a penalty though. It was stone wall and there isn't anything that could have been said to VAR that explains how they could have thought Kav never made a clear and obvious error.
  5. Mid table would sort of be the expected result given how much of an overhall our squad needs. Challenging for Europe would be nice but there's a lot of quality in the top half of the table. Villa looking likely to join the mix as well.
  6. That's probably a before and after photo from the end of January.
  7. Aye. Like Ayoze Perez was probably a more effective footballer for us but I don't get hard watching his compilation videos. Hatem's goal against Bolton will live on forever.
  8. In all seriousness if Hatem was brought through the Barca academy and wasn't a mental cunt he very likely would have been an insane footballer imo. Like consistently ridiculous as opposed to running hot and cold in teams where he's clearly on another level ability wise to anyone else.
  9. He might as well have been Javier Zanetti last night like. Credit to Howe for putting him in on the left ahead of Lewis too. He deffinitely seems to have the squad pretty much sussed now.
  10. Don't think HTT's said anything wrong there like
  11. Do yous honestly believe that the turnaround was because Sean Longstaff came on? Think about it man. Ebb an flows happen in football, it's quite a leap to think Joelinton going off suddenly stopped Leeds pressing us to death.
  12. Joelinton is a far better central midfielder than Longstaff though. It's not even close.
  13. That's mental like, looks nippy as fuck
  14. @The ProphetI think posted a series of tweets which explain a lot of how these decisions are honoured, basically if the ref vaguely described the incident it's not classed as a clear error, however I'm really fucking stumped on what oossibly could have been said to the VAR team that had them think "aye, he saw that one"
  15. Supporters of other clubs are probably used to this like.
  16. It's quite funny how often when he's on the ball he does something that surprises you. Like he'll play a pass that you had no idea was on very often Calmed down a bit after some pretty mental charges leaving him massively out of position in the first half though.
  17. And Fraser. Much improved from Watford which was one of the most frustrating displays I've seen
  18. Always been a big Dummett defender but it was night and day when Manquillo came on like.
  19. Outside of the first 20-30 minutes where they kept missing players in acres of space around out box they did nowt.
  20. Another objectively wrong penalty decision.
  21. Get the fuck in hopefully we can kick on from that like.
