  1. He was "chronically mismanaged" at Lyon and Marseille too under better managers. At what stage does HBA take responsibility for himself? Honestly don't start, you have absolutely no clue about his treatment here, you couldn't possibly. ;D ;D ;D His treatment? Was he chained to a wall during training sessions? Then thrown in a dark room for 2 weeks when he didn't track back? Aye, all of that. Also he was consistently placed on the bench/out the squad for 2-3 games at a time whilst we played the likes of Ryan Taylor in his place. It's been said hundreds of times before though, the salient fact is as someone on the outside you have absolutely no fucking clue what you're talking about.
  2. No, he would have thrown a wobbly just like he did at Lyon and Marseille and refused to play and put in a transfer request. Hasn't he got about four French titles? And left the country with an adoring fanbase from both clubs It's almost as if there's some kind of reason for it.

  4. Definitely, he's the type of player we have needed in this slump - someone who can make something out of nothing. I just fail to understand why he is loved on here when in reality compared to others, he has contributed very little and made an arse out of his own career. There is no doubt he's a talented footballer. Because the way he plays is highly likely why most of us fell in love with football and the kind of football we dreamed about Unless of course you dreamt about Gouffran running 15 yards and then passing the ball 10 yards to Colback? I can totally understand that and as I have said, I loved his moments of magic. But the reality is, a lot of the time he did not show up. Sterling has been hammered on here recently for not showing up certain games, similar player, similar attitude. That isn't the reality though, it's something you're just saying to suit your agenda whilst ignoring the mitigating factors behind why his form may have been up and down. Sterling is a good point, although I don't think he's capable of anything close to the ridiculous things Ben Arfa could pull off. We're football fans, we'll make stupid, hypocritical comments about other players from other teams, you could look hard enough and you'd find people slagging off Eden Hazard and Diego Costa for not turning up, actually scratch that, you could click on the Messi thread and see people saying the same things about Christiano Ronaldo
  5. Some people just don't get it and they never will, it's quite sad really. Ben Arfa was never a world beater, but he was still the most talented footballer we had and when played correctly (ie on the right and starting every game) he lived up to expectations. The fact he was capable of the sublime means he'll always be revered by those who have a soul. It's even harder to take when you've been banging on about this for about 3 year whilst he's been chronically mismanaged, shamelessly robbing us of many amazing memories, replaced by the odd Gouffran tap in, Ameobie's heavy breathing and Obertan tripping over his own feet.
  6. Technically we wouldn't have used it though would we? I assume the offer only kicks in if you made a loss (and therefore were reimbursed). 20 spins is probably only £5 like.
  7. http://games.betmclean.com/Promotions Do we get this as well? I assume the requirements would have been met? EDIT: The free spins friday
  8. Cheers Scotty, great shout that. Took £90 (my £50 deposit + £40) on the snaked n ladders game and lost £20 on the roulette. Areet for nowt.
  9. I don't think he would have won us any more points than any of our current players. Get to f*** man. absolute lunatic. probably part of the 'Alex Ferguson couldn't have done any better with these players' brigade. Maybe I'm wrong, but his limited contribution this season for Hull, last season for us, plus the fact that everybody's given up tells me he'd be no different. Amazing that I'm the one being laughed at in this thread when there are people who genuinely think there is some international conspiracy against Hatem started by Pardew and Bruce! It has nothing to do with any kind of conspiracy, and everything to do with them both being absolute dog shit.
  10. He's absolutely living it the fuck up. It's never been better being a Newcastle fan.
  11. If your system requires your most creative forward running around like a blue arsed-fly chasing shadows, or being woefully out of position because he's busy covering his fullback, then there's obviously something fundamentally wrong. We've went from being a side noted for entertainment to coddling a bunch of daft cunts who dream of a team of 11 Jack Colbacks. It's complete insanity.
  12. Nah, replacing him with someone employed to pick up cones was the mistake. I kna. It would be like Lewis Hamilton complaining about his tyres wearing and his fitters throwing a hissy fit and being like "Well let's see how you get on with NO TYRES! I bet you feel silly now!"
  13. Fair points like, it's not as if his incompetence almost saw us relegated or anything like.
  14. Next week on N-O "I honestly don't think it would have made a difference to Chelsea's season had Eden Hazard been replaced with Shola Ameobi"
  15. I must admit that I start to doubt the sanity of a man who doesn't believe a regular creator and scorer of goals being in the side ahead of a man who has scored 1 goal and has 1 assist in 24 games would make a difference.
  16. Hull are managed by Steve Bruce and are below us, and Nice legally aren't allowed to play him.
  17. He played 8 games for Hull and half of those were for less than 40 minutes
  18. You know, just because I wasn't Ben Arfa's biggest fan doesn't mean I rate Pardew and hang on his every word... Yet you're perpetuating his fabricated nonsense?
  19. The greatest trick The King ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist.
  20. It's really not stupid at all to not like one player that you like. If Ben Arfa at least tried to perform even every other week, I wouldn't object to him. Absolutely clueless man, just ignore the daft sod.
  21. "HAHAHA I TOLD YOU SO... I BET YOU CANNOT WAIT UNTIL HE'S SHIT AGAIN SO YOU CAN SAY 'I TOLD YOU SO'" Amazing.
  22. fair point. in terms of record though, laudrup is as much a mixed bag as mcclaren, in fact, mcclaren has probably achieved more with his twente league win, but I take the point entirely on style. derby are meant to play this free flowing on the floor attacking football, which ive never seen whenever ive watched them. Aye I think Wullie (?) posted a link up to a rams forum where they were lamenting his play style. I haven't watched them under him tbf, but my memories of him aren't too great.
  23. McClarren is also well known for playing shit football, there's just no excitement at all to be had from his appointment. Laudrup could very well fail horribly, but at least he would try to get us playing the right way, which is a start to getting me interested in the game again. It's Hatem Ben Arfa vs Gouffran (even before it was apparent he was totally useless), basically.
  24. Seriously, you "don't understand" that?
