He only has himself to blame if his targets are being overlooked tbf. I cannot blame him for just doing his job like, he's done a decent job all things considered.
His reputation is inflated by Cabaye. He's overseen good signings on the whole, certainly more good than bad, but he isn't the wonder scout he first seemed, certainly better than the average jobber though.
Cisse was just in his own little bubble during that period. Blissfully saving Alan Pardew his job for no other reason than he's just and absolutely smashing guy. I wanted to hate him, I wanted him to stop, but then I saw his beaming smile and was happy to just let him get on with it.
It's absolute bullshit like, the exact opposite happened in fact, the less he played the more fans concluded he was shite and started regurgitating Pardew's warped reasons for dropping him as gospel, such as his apparent lack of application.
There were obviously loads more there than these pictures show, but it looks good even if it's a bit disingenuous
Hows that though? In tele it looked a lot more for some reason I agree but it's not like these photos have been doctored. Most people commenting from the ground said it was a weird feeling too.
EDIT: I think that last one may be because people are leaving for the concourse, but the rest look like they were taken during during the middle of the game.
Bit late for that now like.
Not really, it'll help the campaign gather pace.
Fair enough but I cannot see what it can gather pace towards at this point, I think we're fucked until he just decides he wants to sell tbh. Today was an opportunity to make a huge statement and about 40 thousand still walked into the stadium.
It was a good effort to bring it down that low given the circumstances.
