I do find it hilarious that Taylor is suddenly seen as some Northern League clogger ever since he pushed some cunt over in the opening game of the season. In reality there's probably very little between him and Williamson, who everyone hated a few months ago too

He did very well driving at the City players and he was let down by a slip and his end product. We know he has the end product though, absolutely ridiculous he not only isn't starting games, but he's being subjected to 15 minute cameos when we're a goal down. It's actually depressing.

I think you lot are on the wind up and this is some kind of in joke I missed Had to argue with loads of them in the bar last night. 2014 is not a time for jokes Which you're proving quite admirably.

I wouldn't be adverse to playing Cisse up top like, he'd probably need a few games though and everyone would be on his back the moment he misses a half chance from 15 yards out.

I'd personally play Gouffran up front with Remy left and Ben Arfa on the right. Gouffran probably could do with a rest first like.

His crossing from the byline is terrible. Sick of seeing us hit pointless balls into the box like that. I like him though, I just think, like Marveaux, there's a place for him in the squad but it's not as a 90 minute starter every week.

If you're onabout me, I'm not blaming Pardew for the defeat, I'm blaming him for not capitalising on Manchester City's impotence. They were there to be beaten but we kept Gouffran and Sissoko on the pitch together for 80 minutes and brought Anita off for the ridiculously out of form Cisse after about 60. We lost because of a fucking ridiculous refereeing decision, although it is pretty likely that, had Manchester City gone into the half level, they would have came out with their tails up and the 2nd half would have been a lot harder than it was.

This is consistently hilarious by the way Slim. Keep it up.

I think Chelsea are the more complete side, but City are definitely the most powerful. They've been blowing teams out of the water this season. Let the foot off the gas today after they went up. THAT is doing our team a great disservice, they played as well as we allowed them. We were absolutely screwed today. Aye no doubt. Should've at the very least been a point for us. We made the most of the shitty opportunities given. Pressed hard and played well. But if City had maintained the pressure of the opening 10 minutes, they would've bagged at least one more before HT and we would've lost comfortably. But WE didn't allow them to. Exactly, its no coincidence that every single top 8 side have struggled against us since we got a system in place and likes of Cabaye and Remy got fit. We are a difficult team to play against when motivated and fit, i think our results and performances against the rest of top 8 reflect that. Manchester City struggle away from home against most sides. They aren't the same swashbuckling side who tear teams to shreds by 4-5 goals every week. Not taking anything away from our performance as we do work very hard when we're up for it, but this is pretty much par for the course this season from Man City. They usually win, but they rarely get out of second gear.

Don't talk to me.

Thats massively assuming that the formation & players he'd chosen werent the specific reason for Man City playing at that level. Fair enough. Assuming we were the reason Man City played the majority of the game in 2nd gear, it's completely useless stopping the opposition playing when you're not doing anything in return to reduce the deficit. Remy chance aside. HBA should have been on early in the 2nd half, if not starting. We're desperately short in attack without him. But we werent not doing anything were we. Remy was through on goal twice from it, Saylor was onside at the end. Today we outplayed them through short decisive passing, rarely did any of our players try to go past several of theirs. If Ben Arfa comes on & isnt perfect the way he tries to make a singular decisive contribution could just as easily lead to counter attacks. We all know he tries to much as a sub. City were shit, man. If that was down to us then fair play, it's a debatable point how much is down to us stifling them and them just not being at their best. Whichever it is the fact is we could have got a result here today and didn't, not helped by the awful decisions in the 2nd half, keeping Gouffran on until the 80 oddth minute, taking Anita off and leaving Benny with 15 minutes to go. I agreed with the starting line-up (even playing Taylor as I said pre-game) bar not starting Ben Arfa ahead of Gouffran or Sissoko. And other than a nightmare start I think we played really well up until the final 3rd where the same problems keep popping up. Mainly the fucking abortionate crossing into the box.

Not sure what he was expected to do? He was the wrong man to bring on.

Completely failed to capitalise on a Man City side who stopped playing after 25 minutes. Tiote goal aside, he should have made an attacking change (Ben Arfa for Gouffran/Sissoko) far earlier in the 2nd half and taking Anita off was fucking sackless. We'll never get a better chance to get a result against this City side.
