  1. I cannot tell if Stifler is being genuine or not. He probably is which makes it even funnier.
  2. Gerrard Houllier: 6 Years a Slave.
  3. Little lad at the back with a drum, man It's like something off a sketch show.
  4. was just about to post this. They make that picture.
  5. I'd want him gone for any manager who can convince me he could get our players playing football together and take the game to the opposition. I think that pool of managers is pretty large, not the rare commodity you seem intent on painting them as. I obviously wouldn't want him sacked for just anybody (and I don't think we would do that if we were to get rid of him), that would be detrimental to the side especially when we're not doing too poorly, but last season I would have. I'd have taken fucking Phil Brown after Christmas. Anyway to answer the loaded question, if someone had a gun to my head (or if they didn't, it doesn't really matter) and said it's up to you "sack him or not?" I'd be unsure whether I'd be willing to risk Ashley choosing an appointment mid season when we're doing pretty well in the league. End of the season, or during a run of horrific form, though? Probably, aye. Unless something massively changes from now until then.
  6. Except we're not really struggling. The concerns for Pardew go a bit deeper than a manager going through a rough patch. Moyes was a fucking stupid choice for Man Utd anyway, they could have had pretty much any manager they wanted and chose someone because he was Scottish and a bit radge and hoped he's another 20+ year success story. It's probably an unfair blemish on his record like, and he'll likely improve, but still a daft choice.
  7. 17,000 although it was only a League Cup Semi Final against one of the biggest clubs in the World and kids had to pay a fiver to get in tonight when usually it's free. They were moaning on about "loads of Geordies" buying tickets too so it gets even worse.
  8. You probably want Pardew sacked again Hans, you chop and change that opinion by the week You're lying again Brett. I would get rid of a Pardew in a heartbeat for any manager who can convince me he is able to play the front footed football Pards apparently dreams of and I've never said otherwise. The worse the run of form Pardew goes on the less lenient I am and the less picky I become with a replacement. If he's on a good run of form Id obviously be less willing to just sack the cunt on the spot
  9. Brett is wobbling all over the ring here like. Ian needs to throw in the towel.
  10. The very fact Pardew consistently plays Shola Ameobi ahead of both Anita and Ben Arfa tells you everything you need to know. He's holding us back and he always will. I just want to see us properly take apart a side now and then, do well in the cups and finish in the top 5-7 (depending on how strong the league is). I don't think it's too much to ask and there are a fucking tonne of manages out there who could at least threaten that. Under Pardew we look awful, get knocked out of the cups by some dross side every year, have a decent chance of finishing top 8 and an equal chance of being in a relegation battle. The fact he's shown to have the ability to stake a top 8 finish is enough for some though and everyone else is either deluded or greedy.
  11. I basically up my views on here for him because people take things way over the top when critising him. We win, players get credit, we lose, pardew's tactics. I try and say they are in it together, win together, lose together. I might point the finger at players or manager in certain games where i think they've definitley cost us but on the whole people try and make it so clear cut that it's all Pardew's fault when things go wrong. And Spudil, if you want to trawl through my posts where i'm backing the Pardew appointment or have said he's an excellent manager or that i love him or whatever else, feel free. You'll be wasting your time though. I give him praise for things he does, of course i do but i do sometimes say he's also cost us. End of the day i really am backing him and supporting him to do things well here as i really don't want Ashley to embarass this club furthur with another one of his strange delluisional appointments which he has brought on us. It's a gamble i simply don't want to take especially when i don't think that gamble needs to be taken. I said over the summer, if things started badly this season and it was looking another dog fight in the bottom half by xmas, i'll want him out and have no choice but to spin Ashley's job centre manager roulette wheel but no need to spin when we are sitting pretty 6 points off champions league. Nah. I cannot believe people are still peddling this fucking tosh like.
  12. Must be a canny big job that, I cannot say I'll envy him.
  13. Time to whip out that naive joke again.
  14. Man U have been great for betting against this season.
  15. We're second bottom of the long ball table, man, what's there not to be thrilled about?
  16. even though he's currently doing better than a majority of them? like debating with a bairn.
  17. No it's not, and what have we won? 10 league games out of 20 this season? At the end of the day it's a results game. We're not the Newcastle of old but nor do we play an awful brand of football. I've seen much worse at NUFC. Really? We can play to an acceptable standard with a petty much fully fit starting XI but as we've seen in the past as soon as other factors such as injuries and tiredness come into play we're pretty much cannon fodder to any side who wants to take us on. We've never been great to watch under Pardew, but that's secondary to the dire form we're capable of. EDIT: I wouldn't swap him for just anyone in the league at the minute like. He's not a tragic manager, he's just not a very good one.
  18. All I know is starting Ameobi ahead of Anita and Ben Arfa is, on no level, playing football the right way.
  19. He was our best player against them 2 years ago and was still dropped for 6 month.
  20. I think it's being understated just how void Pardew's side is in attack, and overstated what kind of football people want us to play.
