No reason at all why we can't score past these in front of a full house at St James'. We just need to go for it as they're technically the perfect kind of side for us to play.
Obviously them scoring in return will be a factor but I'm not thinking about that, Krul to play a blinder
That fucking offside late on. All Cisse had to do was square it for Sissoko to tap in.
I cannot get over that. How the fuck can top level officials make a decision like that man? It's not on at all.
It's how we react to these things though. Us having bad luck doesn't get him off the hook imo.
I did actually think he done well on the whole mind, until he went and took off our best player.
I thought he played really well today and held the ball up great, again sticking it to the nut cases who were labelling him as Darren Bent/Jermain Defoe mkII. Obviously massively unlucky not to have a hatrick too.
Excellent game until Santon and Taylor decided they were going to throw it. Benfica aren't a side who will come to St James' and shut up shop (like we would if the roles were reversed) which is a massive plus point for us. We can definitely score a few past these at St James'.
Bringing Ameobi on and taking Marveaux off who was penetrating their high line time and time again goes down as another one of his baffling but unsurprising decisions.
I have no idea what goes through his mind at times.
some of the Pardew haters have lost the plot imo.
Aye, I don't particularly like him as a manager but the constant hyperbole* is getting difficult to read.
* And yeah, I realise the irony here in case anyone picks me up on it
