  1. Tell them I've been asking after them.
  2. How many times does he need to be taught this lesson?
  3. Beggars belief this like. Our recruitment is the envy of the all the teams in the league that aren't mega rich. We absolutely could attract a better manager than Alan Pardew man, without a doubt. I've no faith in this lot whatsoever to bring in anyone up to the job. It may be a completely baseless opinion but I really do think they would prefer to work with a British manager and we would therefore be stuck with another Pardew clone. I cannot imagine them going out onto the continent and picking up a Laudrop, but I hope I'm wrong. We do it now with players so I really believe that we could with a manager too. He doesn't really mix with the players though. I imagine he has regular contact with the rest of the top staff and he comes across as someone who would prefer one of the lads in those positions.

  5. You lost all credit when it comes to judging players after the way you went on about Demba Ba. Didn't he also think Stuart Downing was the kind of player we should be going in for?
  6. He should rightfully be gone at the end of the season, I have no idea what people think is going to happen if we sack him now though. It's a massive gamble in itself.
  7. Hughton had a season in the championship like so you cannot really compare.
  8. Same here, I think this is the first match I've had to stop watching since 2008. I rarely feel the need too but that was just so fucking dire.
  9. WWLWLWLL (including City as as a loss) since the new signings for what it's worth.
  10. We havn't got the easiest of run ins but I would be pretty surprised if we didn't manage to grab 7+ points within 7 games. It was always very likely that we would lose today.
  11. Mental how people think it's acceptable to bend over and get thrashed off the top sides like. First half was a complete shambles and has set us up for a thrashing. We started the 2nd well but another goal was always going to knock the wind out of our sales.
  12. Jonas, Simpson and Perch?
  13. This game aside we haven't been bad at all tbh since the new arrivals, not as good as we could have been but that goes without saying really. The Wigan game was a complete farce from everyone involved.
  14. Alan Pardew doesn't do what Alan Pardew does for Alan Pardew. Alan Pardew does what Alan Pardew does because he is Alan Pardew. http://static.guim.co.uk/sys-images/Sport/Pix/pictures/2010/12/9/1291891845996/Alan-Pardew-has-a-contrac-006.jpg
  15. Ironically he did the only good thing we did all half.
  16. Our plan seems to be to keep the score down, that's unacceptable. I quite agree. How we actually go about scoring a goal is beyond me, though. There's not a hint of creativity anywhere. There is, but the bloke was left on the bench. Like Cabaye he'd have no impact against this lot. They could if we actually set ourselves up in a way that they could make an impact. Man City haven't been great recently and worse sides than we have out have put in far better performances than that.
  17. I hope that was intentional.

It's their Blaydon Races. I'm not even taking the piss, it actually is.
  20. Quitting football was nothing to do with the persistent injuries then. They were a meager irritant to him, no doubt. Err, probably, yeah Injuries would be irritating to any footballer but I don't think many would throw in the towel at 25 without really giving it crack at getting fit again. Hopefully he changes his mind and someone signs him up in the future.
