  1. I mean the "Team or draw" for 1/4, you're best off just sticking £20 on a decent double or treble of teams around evens.
  2. I'm not a great gambler which is why I've cooled off tbh. It just seems that every time I'm in this thread Dinho has a 5er on some daft accumulator that is never going to come off. It all adds up at the end of the day, the profit and the expenditure.
  3. I don't think battering rams would be as much of a problem if we can push out which Mbiwa obviously allows us to do. Being good in the air obviously helps a lot like. Maybe I'm just thinking in too simple-a terms there though.
  4. Have you ever won any money at all from betting Dinho?
  5. Aye, pacey hard working strikers and massive fuck off beasts have always been Colo's kryptonite, he isn't physical enough to deal with them. Having Mbiwa alongside him in theory would solve this.
  6. Because we're constantly on the back foot imo. If the team is playing the poorly the defence is under more pressure than they should and end up looking a massive joke unless they're fit for that purpose. Taylor is more of a defend in the box type so he's suited to it more, like Vidic, Terry et al. Coloccini would be fucking useless at Stoke for example, they'd be better off sticking with Shawcross.
  7. Him and Mbiwa in a front footed attacking side 2 things that we have the potential to do but it will never happen for 1 reason or another. Personally I find that completely depressing.
  8. Coloccin's first season wasn't even that bad imo, he went massively off the boil in the latter half and started making some ridiculous mistakes but his quality was all ways there to see, the same with Jose. Cleanly great footballers but the football we were playing just had them under far too much pressure. The same is happening this season with a few.
  9. The idea that Colo is third choice at the club is/was ludicrous. he's still the best defender at the club by quite a distance imo. Mbiwa has massive potential when he finds his feet and Taylor is fucking brilliant at the all action body on the line stuff (which we really need at the minute) but Coloccini is a class above.
  10. F*cking hell he must think high of himself then I'm sure you know what I mean like Mole He's great on the ball for a defender but he gets caught out at times when tries too much. We've never really had that problem with Coloccini.
  11. I think he genuinely thought that he'd sussed the system or something
  12. Aye, he throws his arm towards the ball Every hand ball he's done that I can remember has been blatantly intentional. I think he's got away with it once.
  13. He seems to think he's a better footballer than he is like (fuck knows what he was doing yesterday on the wing ). He needs to stick to task atleast until we get our game together a bit.
  14. Alan Shearer typed that
  15. 1. Not that bad considering we were away. 2. How many of them were from range? 3. Didn't do anything with them and we know we can't either. 4. Aye right, whatever the ref says. 5. f*** off, we all know that's wrong. 6. Seems average. Cabaye do not deserve play the 2nd leg! Say thanks to the ref! Why would you ban this handsome bastard from playing football, man? http://malecelebbio.com/gallery/2012/03/Yohan-Cabaye-09.jpg
  16. It depends how you look at it though surely? If Pardew deserves another chance to reward his past success, or if the club should be ruthless for the sake of it's own future? Sentimentality shouldn't really come into it imo, if we can get a better man in I think it would be utterly retarded not too. If we can't then fair enough, see how he does.
  17. I thought people would have stopped this after Pardew had proved without any doubt this season that he has no clue whatsoever about the medical side of the game. He's told a player is fit and it's up to him whether or not he wants to play them; he chose not to play Hatem because "his stats weren't right" (his words) and he believed that Ryan Taylor and Gabby Obertan would be more effective for us at the time. I personally think he was wrong.
  18. "Pards played a blinder"
  19. Aye, he can tone it down too as most of his yellows mostly come from professional fouls once someone has done him. I think it's pretty clear now that he isn't as good as a lot of us first thought but I still hold hope of him returning to being an actual Premiership footballer again.
  20. I wouldn't look to sell any player we don't know to be outright shit until we sort ourselves out anyway. There's been a lot of dodgy performances this season and as a whole we just haven't looked comfortable on a football pitch at all.
  21. Ah right cheers. A random pound is going on the latter.
  22. Are your tips genuinely decent Froggy? I feel I need to ask in this thread.
  23. Stats mean fuck all but in this case they do, Benfica were clearly the better side on the whole and the stats back that up
