  1. It probably is if you're Italian, with an Italian accent and mannerisms.
  2. Tiote plays Hollywood balls and it's all "I wish he would keep it simple and do what he's good at", he keeps it simple and does what he's good at and "he's playing it too simple and he's been booked, he shouldn't be tackling any more". I agree that in games like that at home Anita should be ahead of him like.
  3. The tackle he got booked for was right beneath me and I didn't think he touched the ball, was a cynical foul to stop them breaking clear and was a definite card. He did touch the ball though, that's actually a fact Great tackle.
  4. Aye. Annoys me how most call him David, a la Ginola. Or Daveeday. There's just no need for it.
  5. His main attribute is carrying the ball forward, not sure if that would work as well from already inside the opponents half. He's just turned 22 though so he still has time to work on both his attacking in the final 3rd and his defending.
  6. All of that is just conjecture though. The game stayed at 0-0 and during that time we were the better side and looked the most likely to score as the chances show (infact we did score, twice). I don't think we were brilliant by any stretch of the imagination but I don't think we went out there looking bust a lung and give 100%, we just looked happy to control the game and try to nick a goal or 2, probably down to risk of injury and fatigue.
  7. Looked much better tonight than he has done for ages Yep. He looked good tonight and at White Heart lane on the weekend. Really not sure why a couple of people are persisting with this bullshit.
  8. I think he looks about half a foot offside on that screenshot, it's hardly conclusive like. Handy run and finish though.
  9. He was onside by a fair distance, replays confirmed it.
  10. Because you missed off the 4 words that preceded that bit Beren
  11. Honestly I would look at playing a full strength defence, perhaps with omission of Santon as I think we could do with him being 100% for Southampton (I do think he'll play though). If we keep the score down we've got a chance, with Simpson and/or Willo in the side that instantly becomes a massive task. Cabaye, Sissoko and Santon as I've mentioned I would look to rest for Southampton, they cover a shit load of ground between them.
  12. Maybe I was wrong about that baton being handed on, ah well.
  13. Yeah you're probably right Madras thinking about it, it wouldn't be wise fielding him in 2 competitive games so close to each other as he'll need more rest in between games.
  14. I'd accept something like: Krul Mbiwa Taylor Coloccini Haidara Tiote Anita Obertan Marv Gouffran Cisse Ben Arfa off the bench for 20 if he's fit.
  15. He uses his strength and technique perfectly, just doesn't look like ever losing the ball no matter how tight he is to someone, even when they have the advantage he always seems to stretch just enough to poke it to someone in our shirt. Other than a couple of poor balls in the first half he was immaculate.
  16. Only so many times it can be "unlucky" or a "good save" he was hardly against Buffon tonight but had 2 or 3 chances saved that he could have done better for. Finished the second ruled out brilliantly mind. We are going to need his goals in the league and in Europe, he needs to really start finishing more of the chances he is getting. Keepers surprisingly make saves and forwards don't hit the net with every chance they have. If his 2 goals weren't unfairly ruled out he had a 8-9/10 game tonight. I will completely agree with the two goals ruled out comment because if they weren't I would be licking his bum. That said he has gone many games this season being "unlucky, will he ever score poor lad!?" and as I said eventually you have to question where he is putting the ball. The saves their keeper made weren't at all outstanding, he just stopped shots that were coming at him. Forwards don't score many just smashing them at the keeper, he needs to up his game in terms of where he is putting the ball or it will be the same story. He tried that against Chelsea whilst off ballance (placing the ball into the bottom corner) and got the same abuse I agree, he's certainly not striking the ball like he can (no way those goals last season were all luck, he has genuine talent), it's just annoying that it's gotten to the point where every miss or offside is scrutinised even when he's starting to play well, especially in a game where he actually scored twice.

  18. The header is the kind of chance I can understand people going "Cisse man!" at, it was a bad miss. Sick to fucking death of literally every strike on goal being mocked if it doesn't hit the net though, senseless.
  19. Should have buried that at the end there, other than that he gave what you expect of him, just unlucky that the linesman was bent as fuck.
  20. Has had 2 legitimate goals today ruled out. Can't fault him for that. Sheargol has taken over The College Dropout as the forums dour wind up merchant.
  21. He's missed 1 decent chance all game man Howay then, what other good chances has he missed? Literally every time he has a shot and it doesn't go in you're straight in with the anguish faces, regardless of context.
