We really needed Marveaux in the side prior to a couple of weeks ago as we had no creativity in the side, now we have Cabaye back and Sissoko he really isn't needed and we're probably better off with a couple of more physical and energetic players in there ahead of him. For me though Anita could have done Perch's job and then some, so I hope it is just a case of him getting a rest although I'm not sure, Pardew just doesn't strike me as that kind of manager. Sissoko, Anita & Cabaye should really be our central 3 against the lesser sides at home, but again Pardew just doesn't seem to be the type of manager who will go with that, Tiote will always get the nod.

Santon has huge potential and has put in some very good displays but there's no way he's looked better than Jose did for me. Our rigid system probably helped him and he did have great support from Jonas and Coloccini but he was beaten something like 6-7* times in the 2011-2012 season, he was just too powerful. Santon is no where near as careless on the ball as Jose was like. *The stats are somewhere, the next best was Ashley Cole I think with 20+

Marv is technically the better footballer than Gouffran by the looks of things but his work rate and pace is what we've needed up there in a front 3. Marveaux isn't a natural forward at all, it showed when he tried to cut in on his left towards 3 players a few weeks ago, Gouffran in the same position has a crack with his weaker foot and it leads to a goal.

No way Mbiwa will start, my rage over that has subsided to a degree but I hope he's a first team regular sooner rather than later, as solid as Taylor can be he's never a top tier defender. No way he'll start Perch over Tiote either.

:lol: I love how Jonas is seen as some kind of selfless super hero to our fullbacks. Jose was an excellent full back for us, with Jonas he dad good partner but that was more down the the excellent link up play between the 2. Everything went down our left side back then. Jose's biggest problem was his lapses in concentration in and around our box.

What would you do if somebody started pushing you? I know what I'd do and it wouldn't be wait for somebody else to get the first one in. I'd probably push them back tbh, I wouldn't instantly try to knock them out
