  1. IF we do spend anywhere near £15m on him then it's pretty clear that the manager and staff believe he's an excellent forward who is just going through a bad patch at a club that doesn't suit him, as opposed to a shit striker who had a lucky 6 month. 90% of us were pissed off that we sold him for £35m man, if we get THAT player back then he's worth it and some.
  2. Is he really that technicaly inferior to Ba? I agree he'd be lucky to get a 2nd chance after following the money. Yes. No more needed to be said.
  3. UD Rotenda 25/1 to beat Zaragoza. You'd be a fool not to. What were the odds on that German 3rd devision team beating us btw? I can see me betting on some fucking obscure friendlies in the coming weeks.
  4. Quorn are 11/1 at home to beat Crewe in a friendly. It's a friendly anything can happen, they're at home, they aren't Samoa. Stick your house on it Kaiz. Quorn rhymes with Porn fwiw.
  5. It's definitly more the scenario than the player that appeals to me, although I completely disagree with the attitude of "he's shite, we'll easily get better", you just need to go back a few (hundred) pages in this thread to see what we all thought of him 2 yars ago.

lucky run at the start and towards the end of the season take away those points we'd have been relegated marra Who was it who put a screen grab up from Facebook of some daft twat claiming that if you take away the "35 lucky points" we won during our 2 "lucky streaks" then we would have finished below Sunderland, and this was therefor proof that they are better.
  8. We played literally 3-4 (and a 1/2) games of class aesthetically pleasing football all season and our best performance was against Man U in a 4-4-2. We aren't going to be dominating teams with tiki-taka football and people really need to stop this "he won't fit into our system" shite.
  9. I cannot understand why people are so violently against this like, it would be funny as fuck. From a playing perspective too if he was actually willing to sit on the bench it would be a huge improvement (unless we bring someone else in).
  10. FC Chemnitzer 1-0 ‪#NUFC‬ - If Carlsberg done Friday nights..........this would probably be the best Friday night in the world. ‪#safc‬ ‪#FTM Call me obsessed but I ........FUCKING LOVE IT when these cunts get beat off a German 3rd division team. LOVE IT. ‪#safc‬ ‪#FTM‬ ‪#nufc You sure? What a weird bastard he is.

The class shite actually irritates me tbh (so if that's their intention then fair play, although it quite clearly isn't). It's just ridiculously sanctimonious to the point where I struggle to comprehend how they can even pretend to believe it themselves.
  16. Electromagnetic racism at it's finest
  17. You proper hate life like, don't you Sicko?
  18. Was about to stick every cent I had on Big Time Billy until I sensed a change in the winds. Went for El Libertador instead, purely because his jockey seems to wearing some sort of black and white striped garment.
  19. No it doesn't, but 4-3-3 allows you to keep the ball better and have a better balance between attack and defense. Not to mention it suits Cisse, Ben Arfa, Cabaye, Jonas etc etc a lot more. As England showed at the Euros showed 4-4-2 is fine without the ball, but in possession you lack options to go forward properly which is where 4-3-3 excels. There have been many teams in the history of football who have been fucking sublime going forwards playing a 4-4-2 system. We were one of them. It depends on our personnel next year but there's nothing wrong with playing 2 strikers up top, and you certainly don't "lack options". We aren't Barcelona and we aren't going to try and monopolise possession.
  20. I do prefer 4-3-3 fwiw, I just don't think we should let our bad experiences of 4-4-2 last year effect our system next year.
  21. 4-4-2 doesn't have to be hoofball, as we will probably see when we phase out Williamson and Simpson. For some reason I cannot imagine a backline of 'Santon Coloccini Douglas* Debuchy*' being set out to contain teams and hit it long. *The style of players we are looking to bring in atleast.
  22. No, just like how Johan Cabaye's doesn't turn to John when he reaches 45.
