He did yeah, but it then seems to take 2 deflections off 2 different Liverpool players before reaching Benzema, so it's up for debate as to what the rules are in that situation. If you go old school, hes offside as when the real Madrid player plays it forward, benzema is offside. What the new rules are, fuck knows. It takes 2 deflections off Liverpool players and then there's did they play it intentionally. As usual, totally fucked the rules up so no one is 100% sure.

A real Madrid player kicked it first though and when he kicked it, benzema was offside. It then deflected off a Liverpool player into benzema's feet. That's why he was offside.

This is exactly how I feel now when watching semi-finals and finals. This hopefully will be us one day soon. I'm just trying to imagine how fucking insane it would be.
