    Alan Pardew

Incredible team spirit at the minute. The lads are showing great determination.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

With Jonas out, how about playing him left wing in front of Santon next week? Bring Besty back in too.
  3. I thought it was nowt it real time but it looked pretty bad in the replay. The ball had clearly gone.
  4. Someone should tell the berk its called defending. And missing the barn door with that one Ashley Young let run across his body. He hit it at least a yard wide.
  5. I think we have about as many goal-line clearances as goals conceded from open play. Never say die!

    Ryan Taylor

Perhaps no protection from Jonas next week could the catalyst for Santon coming in. We were lucky Raylor didn't cost us today.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Passed a couple of times today when I'd liked him to take it on himself. Still, he didn't see much of the ball and he got the pelanty when he did. Their legendary center halves were noticeably backing off him too. It all bodes well.
  8. Great that it was against them. Payback for that 1-0 at SJP that turned the tide under KK.
  9. Great again today. Someone put up a screenshot up of where the ball was when Rooney last kicked out at him. It looked about three yards away.
  10. That felt so good! Well played lads! Poetic justice after Rooney kicking Colo!
  11. I think its amazing how the general behind-the-scenes ineptitude at our club is commented upon far more often that Chelsea's. Showing Mourinho and Ancelotti the door, undermining Avram Grant even before the CL final (the only game I've wanted them to win and for that very reason), the Shevchenko and now Torres episodes....that club is very badly run. Its a credit to consistency of Lampard, Drogba etc. that they have not fallen harder and sooner. As for Citeh, I don't mind them winning the title a couple of times to piss off ManYoo and their legions of plastics. No dynasty though, please. Even if Citeh run away with the league this time, the mini league at the top for the CL places is now about as competitive as it has been for a long long time. Citeh's rise has really shaken Chelsea and Arsenal, and may well frustrate Liverpool's attempts to get back up there. There's no cozy Sky Four any more.
  12. Two less than Spuds and three less than ManUre. And they don't have a Wigan reject right back at left back. Pity we couldn't have taken one of the chances. Had we got them back to 2-1 they would have wobbled like they did against Wolves. Shame its ManUre next, especially with their wide players.
  13. Shame to concede two like that because they'd only had one clear chance for all their possession. We managed two with our limited possession in their half. Jonas hasn't been following Richards as much I'd normally expect. I guess its orders but I don't understand why.
  14. Curse of the ex-player could strike with Milner but no Silva is about as good as we could have expected. Nasri mightn't be 100% either. That save Krul got off him last season was immense.
  15. Citeh have only scored nine first half goals, one more than us. In the second half, they have thirty. They were drawing at HT in half their ten wins. What this means is that I think we should start positively and only then change if there's a problem, like one flank is exposed or whatever. Citeh seem to start fairly cagey and then prosper as their opponents tire and Silva gets between the lines. I'd play Ben Arfa, Ba, and Best. Killer Bs are gonna swarm!

    Classy

Llambias is a classless prick, but the running across the pitch naked one proved that already. Recording equipment is everywhere these days, so talking about the club in that manner with students (Students! FFS!!) in a casino is naive and stupid and most important of all, potentially destructive for the club. We all know what the press are like. Maybe he's got no mates he can have private dinner parties with. At one of them he can say what he fucking well likes. This episode simply suggests to me that he's a billy no mates out to impress any sad fucker that will listen.

    St James' Park

At least we now know why they used Times New Roman for the "@St James Park" on that flag. How long will that be up, a week??

I think .com have nailed it with Ashley changing the name with no apparent benefit other than showing someone "this could be you". Why is it necessary to change the name to show that the name can be changed? Why can't this wait until there is money involved? And if they are selling the naming rights 1. won't the association with a retailer of cheap sportswear drag down the image of the stadium they are selling? and 2. won't the acrimonious reception of this interim name simply put other prospective firms off? If if you accept the notion of the club needing to expand its commercial revenue, its still important to get paid in full. Arsenal are evidence enough that you've still got to get the proper going rate.

Just heard this. The twats!! I'm sure someone's mentioned this, but they're double twats as well for selling off the season tickets first before announcing this. I bet it was planned.
  20. Er yes!! I should stick to numbers. Its meant as a backhanded complement. You've got to do it week in, week out to be the ultimate.
