  1. Didn't do too well yesterday, but neither did Cab as it was two against three for a long time. After today's debacle, a big bid from ManUre in January suddenly looks a bit more likely.
  2. Evra worse than Ryan Taylor today. Maybe he is worth 10 million after all!
  3. If the Glazers hadn't been pulling out a fortune in interest on their loans, ManYoo could well have had all the players Citeh have. Its tens of millions a year.
  4. ManYoo have been bad winners, so I think this is welcome. Lets see how well they do if some of their plastics start deserting the cause. They've got a thirty million pound player on the bench too, remember.
  5. I think it was right that we've stuck by him and he got a good go yesterday. He was very disappointing though in this latest big chance, and its time for Marveaux who'll keep the ball better. The team will need that with the fixtures we've got.
  6. Odemwingie is just the type to do well against their center halves too.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

He telegraphed some of his passing, but overall he seems to make space for himself at will. Always there to receive it.
  8. Looks canny, and a miss if we could have had him for two million or so and say 15 grand a week. We were top of the Championship at the time.
  9. After some of the comments on here I'm wary of saying this, but a midfield-attack link man looks what we need. Three vs. two in midfield means Ba is dropping very deep.
  10. Slow out the traps again today. Rodellaga should have done better there.
  11. Good to see Colo fit after that murmur. No Shola for Best is a plus too. Just hope HBA and Marv start in the CC.
  12. Massive stick from the crowd for Mick McMackem's subs.
  13. Demba Ba got two the last time he played Wigan but ended up losing the game. It was the one where Wayne Bridge showed the Zog inside in the closing minutes. Same again son! This time the rest shouldn't let you down.
  14. Obertan is clearly a work in progress and as everyone says, he has the speed and trickery to make him a potentially good player. Normally you've got to stick with that kind of player for them to get anywhere. Were we simply a middle table club, we could play him every game without thinking too much about it. The thing is now though, we're looking like we could finish in the Top 7 and kick on in the CC, in which means something to play for and every little factor and decision becoming more important, especially when there are weaknesses in other parts of the team (fullbacks, lack of goals from mf, wayward crossing, Saylor maybe) at the level we are talking about. With Marveaux having more experience over his career, it makes this a really tricky decision. For big three games against teams that will punish us when we lose possession, Marveaux would probably be a safer choice.
  15. Maybe its just prejudice to see foreign managers as cleverer than British ones, but that sounds like the kind of farce you'd get with Joe Kinnear or Warnock or someone.
  16. I'd like us to win the match (esp. in 90 minutes) and Krul is in great form. I think he would have stopped at least one of the goals we conceded the last time. If we are resting or tinkering with the outfield players, there's all the more reason to play our best keeper. He may have got a medal but did Given play in the FA Cup for Citeh last year? If Eliot has potential, play him regularly in the reserves. No shame there.
  17. Maybe he's burnt his bridges with the things he's said in the past in support of Nolan, Barton etc. We've replaced the others, and you'd have to think we could do the same with him. Even with the limited funds we've been using on transfers.
  18. Play a strong team and keep the run going. I wouldn't play Eliot after the last time.
