  1. Getting close to the point where we would stay up even playing Darlow every game. I reckon it's definitely time to play a full-strength team in the FA Cup.
  2. FT. Ninth, above Arsenal (!) 10 points above the bottom three. Possibly only need 10-12 more to stay up. Still shit to watch though.
  3. We've lost our way here last 10 minutes. Need HT.
  4. Nice move, unlucky with the footing. Dummet playing left wing so far.
  5. Benteke vs. Carroll, hard to know which one has the most goalscoring mojo left.
  6. Schar, Lejeune, and Shelvey in the team and it'll probably still be Dummet hitting it long.
  7. The Guardian has Firmino as 11th best footballer in the world. He's one place above KDB. Seventeen places about Aubameyang, who scores twice as many and gets nearly as many assists in the PL carrying an underperforming team. Gini is 43rd, above David Silva. https://www.theguardian.com/global/ng-interactive/2019/dec/17/the-100-best-male-footballers-in-the-world-2019
  8. This is so shit I'm looking at the hoardings. Are Farmhouse Biscuits any good?
  9. Watford airshot when free in the box, then concede from their own mishit corner. That's gotta hurt.
  10. It's been well flukey, but the points are on the board. If the defence holds up, we should get over the line (=17th) even with the same dismal forward play.
  11. You'd have to be livid as a Soton fan missing all those chances and then letting us score twice off the few we had.
  12. Terrible mistake from us for the goal. Big hoof that Schar ducked under.
  13. Nice free kick at the end, but other than that completely shite. Double save by Dubs aside.
  14. I'm down to three, but it'll be one if we win at the weekend. The bottom two look set, but there is no clear candidate for the third team to go down just yet. Someone may run out of steam, but no clear signs yet. Early signs also look like the survival line will be higher than normal. We went down last time with 37 points, normally enough to stay up.
  15. Leicester finished the Pearson season as the form team of the league. Look at the last ten results. With Vardy, you have to remember that he was originally played on the wing with Ulloa as their main striker. Like Thierry Henry, things really started happening when he was played down the middle, as Pearson eventually did. Pearson's weird for sure, but Leicester did well when he was there.
  16. 9 men behind the ball Route 1 versus a promoted team with less money. He gets a pass for doing it against Man U, Man City, Liverpool etc., but against a promoted team with less money? No way.
  17. I wonder if the new manager will get a new goalie in. Liverpool just got five off five shots on target, with Pickford in no man's land for at least two of them.
  18. Didn't see much of note from him all game, but a fantastic goal. Very appropriate for pantomime season. Offside? Oh no, he isn't. Note that with both center halves completely stopped and the goalkeeper standing there pointing to the linesman, his shot for the goal was rated on expected goals as "0.32". That's less than half a penalty, or the less than the Burnie header after 10 minutes. ASM's goal was a "0.06", suggesting you'll only score one in sixteen from there. I like the idea of expected goals, but the execution needs much more work.
  19. If he encourages us to play nothing but long ball and hit all freekicks as set penises, I don't want him in the team. It may have worked yesterday, but it's not what I want to see.
  20. Set pieces have been more successful. Everything else is either the same (i.e., as inherited from Rafa) or worse.
