Man Utd would've struggled to hand pick an easier group Barca and AC have it easy as well apart from the games against each other. I'm so glad Dortmund ended up with Arsenal, that should be a good game to watch. I'm hoping Dortmund can make it through that group as well.
Lots of good players in Ligue 1, not gonna complain.
Probably easier to attract players from France than say Spain, for example, as well and more likely to be cheaper.
Even though I've already said what team I'd like us to play, here's what I think we'll go with:
Harper
Simpson - Willo - Saylor - Ferguson
Smith/Abeid - Gosling
Obertan - Vuckic - Marveaux
Ba/Best
Wouldn't be too bothered with that as long as it's Abeid and not Smith that starts.
If he's got a minimum fee release clause, Roux seems like the most likely of the 3 really. I'd be happy with any of them, think they'd all do well here.
Those passes annoy me as no one ever seems to be fooled by them. I mean look at Lennon, just continues his run, probably thinking 'What's that idiot doing'.
Calvente sent the keeper the wrong way doing it (or something very similar at least) from a penalty tbf.
FIFA World Rankings are stupid. Top 5 is:
1. Holland
2. Spain
3. Germany
4. England
5. Uruguay
Spain are World and European champions so should be top really. England shouldn't be anywhere near the top 5.
Great read that, Chris. We've certainly needed some improvement in the youth setup, so it's positive that something is being done about it. Hopefully we'll see a few make the most of their potential and a few more promising talents come through in the coming years.
My captain got 1 point, doubled to 2. Vice captain got 12 points, would've been doubled to 24. Another great decision. Could've had an extra 14 points had I chosen 2 of my subs instead of 2 starters. Got 55 points overall for this week.
Isn't Andre Ayew rumoured to be leaving OM, or is that largely just media speculation? I heard he had a release fee clause that might attract a few clubs across Europe.
