Brentford done alright.

Great today, just makes me wonder why it’s taken so long for change though.
-
Just spike Dave's pre-match pint and we should get a few songs out of him.
-
Said it before and will say it again, we need to play him up front. Looked like he was for the goal yesterday.
-
He said in an early interview that he found it difficult to go down a bit easier when fouled. It wasn't in his character (there or thereabouts). Maybe he's being told to play to tactics that don't suit his game.
-
If we get £70m plus for him, we've done very well.
-
He was on the bench for Liverpool. Not been on since I think?
-
This. We looked better, but not great. Brighton had a lot of near misses. Pope’s dodgy number in the first half too. Papering over the cracks for me tbh.
-
Just cannot fathom why there hasn’t been a potential partnership sooner. Shocked he’s considering a change tbh.

Fair enough, "a lot" may have been a little much. I've just checked, he's played 9 games in midfield according to Transfermarkt. You may want to look in yourself before trying to correct someone. He has definitely been mismanaged. When he came here, he obviously played much more to his natural game. His stats were good, even though those around him were not playing to his strengths. Howe has obviously tried coaching his system into Woltemade, which neglects his natural attributes. Howe has shown no sign of changing his system to accommodate Big Nick.
-
Maybe, but a lot of them in a position he's never played in his life. We're not all football managers, but it's clear to see he's been incredibly mismanaged.
-
For what it’s worth, didn’t Gordon get player of the tournament in the U21’s playing up front?
-
This is it. If there were any signs of any intent to change, I'd give him some more time. It's just so frustrating atm as our squad on paper is very good. The tactics and in-game management are so poor.
-
Someone mentioned it before, but I wonder how/if at all, the illness he had to take a few games out with last season has affected him? He doesn't seem the same bloke this season, and the team has followed suit. The number of points dropped over the season is due to poor tactics and partly, the players' concentration. 15 points from what we have lost with better game management would have been attainable, I reckon. That would have taken us 3rd.

You can’t blame ownership for the same mistakes that are happening on the field. Losing the most points from winning positions in the league isn’t fully down to the ownership. That’s mentally in the squad and/or game management. I’m not fully Eddie out, but the majority of the blame is on him.. not the ownership.

Dm’s are open if you need me x

Stood out to me as our best player (not that we were amazing) from what I seen today. Clogged river led to me only seeing bits. Baffled why he was taken off.
-
I raise you the pronunciation of "specific" as "pacific".
-
There was one or two he still didn’t get. He did look a good bit better. Teammates still aren’t passing to feet to him enough.
-
50/1 for both teams. Well worth a punt.

Forum meet? Fireworks are cheap this time of year.

Some of, if not the worst reffing I’ve seen. I include Sunday league in that.

Even if we were in the Epstein files somewhere, I don't think I'd go this far. After the 2-2 draw with Hull, which had the Sack Pardew protest, I couldn't be arsed with the club at all. The soul had been sucked from the stadium with SD plastered everywhere, the manager a puppet and a charlatan with no fear of the sack, our brightest signing in my lifetime in Ben Arfa being terribly mismanaged (can understand he was hard work, but could of been handled better) Shola Ameobi on the right wing.. I could go on for ages. Rafa brought a bit of hope back, but with Ashley's ownership.. we were going nowhere. Brucey was just no hope again. I watched a lot more of my local team during the dark times.. but I would never, ever class myself a neutral.

I feel for the fella. Such a bright start. I don’t even think it’s that teams have worked him out. It’s rare we see those deft touches like when he first joined. I still think if we played 2 up top he would do well. We get so many crosses in the box, but never nobody there. Only trouble for him with that would be his lack of pace. There was a moment today when he had the ball in acres of space and still got caught in possession. To me this is lack of confidence, panicking. When he first joined, that would of been smoothly placed to someone. Are his natural traits being coached out of him, or is it that the U.K veg is really that different from the E.U stuff?
