  1. Agree with most of it. Only thing I would say is, we have some great players already, but aren’t playing to most of their strengths. A few additions are needed, but we don’t need a massive overhaul in the summer. Just start fitting round pegs in round holes. He’s mentioned about not having a plan B, which would mean plan A isn’t working. It hasn’t most of this season. How he can’t acknowledge really baffles me (and 90% of the forum I would say). I love Eddie, always will. But I’m getting to the point where watching us is boring (especially away from home). We just look predictable all the time. He’s only not in trouble due to how bad all the other teams around us have been. We’re only 3 points from 4th, so it all could turn around.. but there such a lack of desire to change anything. We are relying on luck to save our season.
  2. Was the same when Isak was here, just he had the pace to beat his man rather than drop deep. I think it would have made sense to put Wissa up front and Woltemade in the 10 today.
  3. Hopefully see Wissa and Woltemade together again. Really brings Big Nick into the game dropping him back a little.
  4. I really think for Luque he never recovered properly from that injury against Fulham. He looked really good on his debut against Man Utd.
  5. Didn’t he win PFA player of the year when he left us?

    Yoane Wissa

Who were we getting in for £20-30m though? In hindsight, DCL would probably have been sound on a free. I can’t think of any others off the top of my head.

11 games, half of them as sub? After no pre-season really and a fair injury. We overpaid, but didn’t have much else as an option. Still early days imo. He did look way off it tonight.

    Yoane Wissa

He’s not been great, but it’s way too early for that.

    Lewis Hall

He said when he joined his best position was CM didn’t he? Sure he played there when we beat Man Utd in the cup a few seasons back.

    Jacob Ramsey

Looked very lively. Keen as mustard. Nice to see some runs from CM.
  11. I’m sure he said "we", referring to Bournemouth at one point.

    Harvey Barnes

I’ve said this for ages. He’s a great finisher.

    Harvey Barnes

Still reckon he could do a job up front if needed. He would have buried that Gordon chance.. although 9/10 would have.
  14. He reminds me of the kid at school who didn’t have the legs for outfield, so you’d stick him in goal as he’d always pull some jammy saves.
  15. Looking forward to seeing what formation Eddie is gonna play, but will no doubt be 4-3-3.

    Nick Woltemade

We’re not playing to his strengths and he has 1 less goal that Ekitike. The lad is doing more than fine. I’m really looking forward to when we have him drilled properly to the system, or Howe does the unthinkable and changes our tactics to suit him.
  17. That has got to be one of my favourite ever NUFC goals. That determination by Miley, Bruno’s sweet pass.. then Big Joe with the chef’s kiss!
  18. No chance, he hates the place. Said one of the reasons he didn’t go to Villa was that it was too close to Cov. His two clubs after Cov are not far off being the furthest distance away from there. (In the Champ/Prem obviously)
  19. London ting though fam.
  20. We just don’t look the same team all around. Where has the fire gone? I get we can’t play like that all the time with the schedule, but we turn it on once every few weeks. Of course give him until the end of the season, but if no improvement.. he needs to go. I love him to bits, but the same mistakes we have all spotted from day one keep popping up. If he is reluctant to change, how can we improve? The subs every game near dead on 70 mins are so predictable. Just no real fight/guile in the team. We love you Eddie, please give your head a wobble and sort this shit out.
  21. Not when he’s on £400k a week.
  22. As much as I love Eddie and everything he has done for us, major questions need to be asked. There has been a lot of decisions of his this season that have been baffling. There are no excuses for how bad our away form has been, the concentration with letting late goals in too. We look a shadow of the team we were.
