Buzzing for him tonight. Couldn’t watch too much of the game, but what I did see he looked good. Was just thinking after Tonali’s goals that it would be great for Nick to get a goal & confidence boost too.

As someone else said, would like to see him and Woltemade together centrally. Think it could work. Played real well tonight.

He did look a lot better. But it’s clear to see his confidence is shot, hence the lack of shooting. He doesn’t look the same player as to when he first joined.

I’m one of his biggest fans, but that wasn’t nice watching him so shot of confidence as to not take a shot. He got himself in a couple of decent spaces tonight with the crowd egging him on.. it was there for him.

I still stand we’re just not playing to his strengths. We’re not even giving him the ball half the time, how is he supposed to make an impact?

When you look at it like that, there isn’t much of an argument that can be made. We’re doing alright. It’s also possible at the end of the month, we could only be in the Prem (we should beat Qarabag, but it’s not a given. We will be very lucky to qualify for Europe through the league imo. But the inconsistent performances are worrying.

Only because a lot of teams around us are having shit seasons too. Or you could maybe say the playing field has levelled. For me, it’s the inconsistency. We can look world beaters on our day. The next we are laughable. Big Nick has regressed so much. When he first joined, I was excited at every touch. Tonight I was dreading those same touches. Has he just turned shit? Or is this because he’s being told not to play his natural game in a system that doesn’t suit him?

I just don’t get why we can’t look good after scoring a goal. I was really excited thinking we were having a real go.. but we were absolute toothless after.

He has his moments. Something the Milan fans warned us about. He has been great most of the season though.

I’m really hoping it’s one of those games where Eddie has us fired up to fuck. I’m not majorly hopeful of it after recent showings, but we will see. Their recent form is alright, but nothing mind blowing. We have every chance if we turn it on.

I was just about to ask similar, but more towards what manager would get the best out of him? I don’t wan’t Eddie out, but he’s been so rigid in sticking to his own tactics rather than playing to his record signings strengths. He is unorthodox, but that doesn’t make it hard to play it to his feet more, the lad must be getting frustrated.
