Good first half, no cutting edge but we all pretty much knew that. Whilst Elanga's end product has been poor, I think we really need to keep isolating Digne and making space for Elanga to get at him. Villa will most certainly come in to this game, I'd be surprised if they played like that in the second half, so we need to be capitalising on the possession and chances which come our way.

There isn't a chance I would be sending him out on loan. The lad is class. He will learn more on a day to day basis being with the team and being coached by Eddie, than he would on loan.

Given what Howe has said in that video a couple of pages back, it clearly is affecting staff, players, the team, the club, which it absolutely cannot do. I am only repeating what I have said previously, but he cannot come back in to the fold, he's isolated himself in a ridiculous manner, following no doubt horrific advice from his agent. He's burned too many bridges and if I was his team-mate, I probably wouldn't want him near the team again in fairness. The guy has played an absolute shocker.

Agree, which isn't a bad thought because we do lose a bit when Jo isn't playing, and Ramsay doesn't mind nipping the ball off players and driving forward down the inside left channel, so it is definitely a good signing to get cover in that area too and mix it up a bit as he has a lot more forward threat than Joelinton.

I do agree where others have said if he stays for this season he will be gone next. Think that seems pretty obvious and buys us some time to not knee jerk react in the market with a player we don't really want or need. It's just delaying the inevitable if he stays. We may get this season out of him, but that'll be it.

I don't think there is a short term or long term environment at Newcastle where Isak remains given what has happened. His behaviour has been awful and that will create friction whether it be short term or long term for players and staff, it will 100% be there. Also agree with what others have said and I'm completely not in favour of rewarding him with a new contract following this ordeal, it would be an absolute joke.

Seriously, Isak has been an absolute plank and his behaviour stinks. Don't know if others agree but I didn't think he would be like this towards Howe. Obviously not a personal thing towards Howe, but come on Aleks, really poor! Yet Howe has handled it amazingly. Bet he is absolutely livid with him, inside.

I really rate Miley, not seen the game tonight but I think he's a classy player especially for someone so young still.
