I genuinely believe Eddie has given the nod to sell him, for the greater good of the club, which is what he always comes back to in interviews. I also believe Isak crossed a line with Howe that Howe cannot come back from. Others may disagree but it's definitely how I see it. I also feel he has crossed that line with a lot of current team-mates.

I am looking forward to Wissa playing his first game for us. He is a goalscorer, we need one, and I think he will do well for us.

My other take on this is that the board have really got to come up trumps with deadline day incomings for Eddie today, otherwise they have left him up the creek without a paddle in my opinion. So it places more pressure on them to deliver today as we cannot just let Isak go and have no-one come in, we still need 2 or 3 in my opinion.

Can't believe we have sold him on the cheap. I personally think he burned too many bridges to be reintegrated but £125m or £130m is far too cheap.

VVD does my head in everytime he is around the ref, it happens so, so often, it's nauseating!

I think he came across really well in that interview. Really liked the fact he acknowledged the difference between the Bundesliga and the PL but wanted to find his feet and achieve the highest level he can.

This is EXACTLY what I was talking about earlier, someone not mentioned, and boom! I have never heard of the guy or seen him play but I really hope he signs!

This is what I mean, surely there aren't many cards left to play and there is absolutely no way we can go into the season after the transfer window ends, with the likelihood of a sustained period of either: Osula upfront A sulky Isak upfront Gordon upfront. It would literally define our season before it really got going. We cannot take that gamble.

Do you think if we continue to get knocked back on JSL and Wissa, we would take a punt on a young or uncoming striker from abroad as a bit of a risk signing? Part of me is hoping that there are players out there that we are interested in that haven't been mentioned, maybe because they aren't proven, but have bags of potential. OR is that me living in cloud cuckoo land and hopefully trying to unearth an absolute gem.

It's getting really twitchy bum time now on the striker front I have to say.

In fairness this shouldn't have ever been a case of playing out in this transfer window. We knew pretty highly that we wouldn't retain Callum Wilson, we have had ample time to get scouts in place and lists drawn up which look further than Joao Pedro, Ekitike, Sesko, etc... this one has been a huge ball dropped by the club over a sustained period of time, it's really amateur.

I think we need to do what it takes to get Wissa in, is my thought after last night's game!

I'd chuck Ramsay on for Joelinton, Jo has been quiet.

This will end up 0-3. What promised to be a fairly decent and exciting game, is pretty much a damp squib, such a shame but our own fault for messing about so long in the transfer window.

I come away from that first half thinking that if we actually had a striker, even an average one, you'd think they would have converted 1 of those chances we have had.

His actions have probably left us a few goals out there already tonight with the chances we have had.

Can't see us scoring so that's probably that unfortunately.
