  1. If Marv was a superb professional, both on and off the pitch this would seem more strange. We've all questioned his attitude, even in the first two home games of the season when he looked half arsed and Sammy came in and did more in both his cameos. I really do like Marv and don't feel like he's been given a fair crack but i don't want to be fully supporting him and claiming him to be the innocent party, when it's just as likely he could be guilty as sin. I'd rather know more details on the reasons before slating either one of them.
  2. This literally makes no sense. Well he's the one in charge and he's not going to do it just for the fun of it. Say back in school and your mate gets put in detention in another classroom, it's safe to assume the teacher has his reasons even though you don't know what happened. You don't start calling the teacher when he has no reputation for constantly putting people in detention? Not like Pardew has a habit of fall outs and puts players in the reserves often. I'm just saying i'm sure Pardew has his reasons to why Marv has been placed there and until/if things become more clear, you can't really defend Marv even though we all like him. Why do we have to accept Pardew's right and not Marveaux since we don't know the story? Marveaux might have been punished for disagreeing with Pardew's football philosophy or lack of it, in which case I'd be on his side. I'm not saying Pardew is right, but he's in charge, accept it and move on until things become more clear. Jumping in to defend Marv and have pops at Pardew seem strange when it's not like Pardew has a habit of falling out with players and doing this. I'm sure he has his reasons to why he feels Marv shouldn't be training with the first team anymore. And this isn't just Pardew, i'd feel the same with any manager unless they were a complete dick who often did this and banish players from the team for their own ego. You what? Supporting the judgement of Pardew when it comes to players, man. Who has he put in the reserves? I think Pardew has always seemed to have a strong dressing room. Barton was made to play there for his twitter outbursts, Ranger often made to train alone, can't really think of others. He had a fall out with Colo but they sorted it out amongst themselves and no action was taken. Since being here, i don't think Pardew has been too hard on players. If anything he's probably too soft with them and gives them a free reign.
  3. Working this game and only made a half arsed effort to get it swapped. Gave the ticket to my brother for his birthday present instead
  4. I actually wanted Marv to be the innocent party but after all these comments, hope he's the guilty one now Punched Ben Arfa in the face and called him a fat bastard, if that was the case...the majority will then still think Pardew is in the wrong
  5. I felt Adebayor was being harshly treated by AVB for example because he has a reputation for being a bellend and trying to stamp down his authority and freezes players out. At Newcastle Pardew has never really did that bar Ranger unless i've missed something. I don't know if Pardew or Marv is in the right but i can accept the decision and move on until things become more clearer rather than taking cheap shots at either of them.

  7. I didn't like the school metaphor, let it down IMO Well place your own little metaphor in there instead and you get the same outcome People jumping in to defend Marv over Pardew, doesn't make sense.
  8. Rodgers had Suarez in the reserves earlier in the summer. Wasn't because Rodgers didn't rate Suarez, he just had his reasons to why he thought it was best. It's not a case of defending the player because he's more loved than the manager, Rodger's is in charge and he would have his reasons to why he's done it and you accept that.

  10. I think if any player of any club gets made to train with the reserves/youth side, you have to accept the managers viewpoint as you don't know the ins and outs of it all. It's easier to justify things when they are in the spotlight and you get an idea of why they have been put there but nothing has really been made clear with this one.
  11. I love the new Fulham owner. The more these spring about the more i start to worry about our next owner! I'd still love to take the gamble but it could easily all turn out to be one huge f*** up, like Any excuse Can't tell me it doesn't cross your mind I mean i'd give anything just to take this risk but it is certainly a gamble, like. Imagine one of these nutters taking over like a Tan. It's brilliant watching from the outside but if they owned your club...

I still think we will grab 8th actually You know what mate, when we were on course to finish 5th a lot of us were saying 'this is s***, it's not sustainable, we need to do things differently'. The next season we barely avoided relegation. When we were in that decent little spell before Christmas a few were lapping it up and spouting their usual s**** normally accompanied by a call to look at the league table. Some people can see further than just the current league position. We worry about the direction the club is going, the overall strategy (if there is one), the long term development of the club from the academy levels to the first team. If you're happy with what you see when you look at Newcastle United then all power to you. I'll never be happy with what i see with Ashley in charge. I've never budged from the fact he's the biggest c*** by a country mile. If you could have a situation where either Ashley stays long term and a new manager is hired, or a new owner comes in and Pardew remains in charge, i'd take the new owner all day long without question. The owners are the most important people at the club, not the players, not the manager. With the right ambition and with the right attitude, the owners can take your club wherever they dare to dream. Players/Managers however can always be restricted by the owner in charge, like is the case with us. Well you need to talk to trollboy then because he thinks the owner's doing ok and our squad is improving every year. I think he's just on the wind up, his avatar is taking the piss out of Ashley yet he's sticking up for him to the hilt on here...nahhhh i'm not having he's serious like

I'm not on the Southampton band wagon, just like i wasn't on the Swansea one last year. Play good football but there results can just be as erratic and although they've hit god form in the league atm, they will have their bad patch once again. Still think we can finish above them and finish the season strongly. If we don't do that just stumble into 9th place, it's not the end of the world. Our good first half of the season ensured there would be no relegation battle this year, it pushed us into a position to challenge top 6 but Ashley decided it would be better to sell our best player instead of keeping him and adding a couple to help with the push.

I know we keep saying the season is over but that's just a figure of speech, it's not yet. We do tend to look beyond the season we're currently in too, it might be hard for you but if you really try i'm sure you can. We believe in you Brett, remember the sunshine bus is never far away! You don't even have to look far, loki...just look at your sig and remember that general feeling around the forum I can see why people are broken, it's horrible to witness but i can understand where they are coming from. Don't look at me, I wanted Pardew sacked in the season we finished fifth. There hasn't been an ounce of ambition at this club short of promoting a frankly down market clothing goods warehouse for many a year. I'm not looking at you, basically showing the general feeling is still doom and gloom even though this season we have surpassed expectation and got us back to where roughly this squad should be. With a better manager i'm fairly confident we would be 7th but 7th-9th, it's not the biggest of differences, it's still fuck all really and that's Ashley's fault. Only good that has come this season is there has been no talk of relegation which was widely expected by many.

A lot just seem so broken they can't see the good in anything anymore. Even if we have already surpassed their pre-season expectations.

I've said it doesn't matter who he gets, he could get another lower league manager or he could get Guss Hiddink, it wouldn't make a huge amount of difference to our league position. We still wouldn't be top 6 and we still wouldn't get relegated. Results wouldn't be as erratic and the football would be more consistent but on the grand scale of things, Ashley will still have us by the balls restricting this clubs progress, not the new maanger in charge.

Who on here would keep him if a new owner came in? Name and shame please... I don't see why this owner should be allowed to get away with hiring an incompetent. This is Newcastle United not Plymouth. He shouldn't, but people keep just keep forgiving him and ask him to try again. Just more and more embarrassment every time he's asked to do one fucking easy job. Get a manager in on a respectable wage who wants to play football. It really isn't as hard as MA makes it. For whatever reason though, he fails time and time again and produces a media circus act around us when the appointment is announced.

Who on here would keep him if a new owner came in? Name and shame please... But you wouldn't want a new owner either would you?? Things are going well arent they? transfer policy (ha!) is working ok, Pardew got us 5th etc etc etc... After all we may end up like Leeds etc etc etc.... Or are you repsostioning yourself away from this Tollemarch loon?? Who on here would keep him if a new owner came in? Name and shame please... I'd imagine you wouldn't be 100% behind a change in manager and would probably give it the old "give him a chance under a new owner". Ian W would be in the same camp and this trollmache character would support him for s***s and giggles. ToonPack would complete the list, that's just off the top of my head. I'm sure there's another couple of heed the baals out there. I'm not repositioning myself anywhere. I've always maintained my biggest problem is with Ashley. I’ve said Pardew is just a bang average manager who should be managing a lower prem club at best but would be more suited to the championship. I'm more than happy to gamble on a new owner coming in over Ashley because my hatred for him is off the scale. Pardew however is just another s*** piece in the cog with Ashley and i can't see any other manager coming in to take us to the next level with Ashley as owner. Kinnear/Pardew have been hired as manager under Ashley, i seriously have no idea where he gets his ideas to recruit these down and outs from. I'd put money on that he has never even heard of Felix Magath for example. I'll be very surprised if literally anyone on here doesn't agree that if a new owner came in charge of the club, they would want Pardew sacked the minute they sieze full control, it should be the very first thing they do. And i'm sure everyone on here would be all for that.
