They'll p*ss it in the second leg IMO. Everyone thought that against the mackems You couldn't fancy these to p*ss on a Championship side atm! Nah I think they'd beat us quite comfortably. Mojo said they would rip us apart at OT. You can't have any sort of faith with Man Utd around these days Even Fulham took a draw off them. I'd fancy these to go through if they keep this 2-0.

Considering they've got Rooney/RVP playing, you'd have to say this is the worst to date.

Tbf, Fergie was just as bad in regards to that situation. Difference is, he got positive results without him playing, Moyes isn't.

Has Moyes even turned a game around to win after being 1 down since joining? Dreadful this like!
-
5 sounds so simple, please stay injury free. For some reason I'm nervous about the upcoming friendlies with Wales. Coleman better use him sparingly, got a bad feeling about it
-
Not a long time since he's beaten us at SJP and some thought he might be "the one". Shows how bad we are right now because Cardiff are absolutely dreadful. Tbf, they were dreadful against us as well. We were just toothless, should have killed the game off then Eliot fucks up, and they score from a corner and we are suddenly out. Was a good start for Ole as both his subs scored, one big fuck up since then. I would have taken him here prior to his arrival at Cardiff.

Poor b****** always gets brought up when I'm around bless the c*** He is dirty but him and Huth have been fairly solid over the years for Stoke. We've lacked someone with that sort of physicality for a long time. If it means a couple of leg breaks or cheap shots down the line, so be it

I'm with Ronaldo on this one, Shawcross would be an excellent purchase to partner Mym/Colo. 25ish, tough, has pace and PL experience. Although he is a cunt, all teams need a cunt or two in their ranks
-
People say he can't deal with the physical players as well, so what's Benteke if he isn't physical and isn't pacey? I'd have him over Long any day of the week. Jelavic and Long are in good form, posing a good partnership threat since their arrival and it should be a good battle. Colo and Williamson will have to be on their game but I'm not fearing their two strikers, we pose just as much threat with Remy, if not more of a threat.
-
I'm loving the praise Colo is getting on here now compared to the finished defender we made him out to be a four a few months ago. Was talked about on the Red/Blue night out how we made it sound like he wasn't fit for league 1 with that talk of Long tearing him apart like Colo never had a chance. Great to see him back in action and getting the praise he rightly deserves. As player and as a leader, may have had personal issues off the pitch but his commitment on it has never been in doubt. Mym should be the future though and like people are saying a physical presence alongside him is a must. As good as Williamson has been, we still need an upgrade. Taylor can just fuck off and never return...think we all would agree on that one.
-
I don't know what the future plans are. I don't think we would be any better or worse off if we stuck with Hughton. We could bring a new foreign manager in who might change style of football but it's not going to change Ashley's ambition. I've never budged from he's the biggest problem to why it's one step forward, two steps back. As for the 90th minute winner, it's not like these come around weekly for us. They are rare and you enjoy them when they come along. I'd say the last time we had one was Fulham at home early in the season when Ben Arfa hit it. They are glorious moments and feelings in football when you grab a last gasp win, the position, the state of club or the performance during the match shouldn't take away your delight...unless you're already knocked out or relegated then that might be a bit underwhelming
-
Yeah but if we are doing well in the league and you get a last minute winner and only a give a 'meh', you are hardly happy with the way things are going in the league. Results went our way this weekend with Everton and Southampton both dropping points and i think it's only natural to want to finish higher than them even if it doesn't make a huge difference. Absolutely clueless . If you can't get yourself excited and jubilant over a last minute goal, you should look elsewhere for your entertainment. Doesn't matter if you are bottom of the league in the conference or 9th in the premier league or even playing Sunday league football, a 90th minute winner is simply euphoric.
-
That was like me, Ian and Inochi in the summer when you said we were going to be in a relegation battle. Strangely enough, we were the idiots then too who were clueless. 40 points by March and the players, manager, owner and Newcastle United in general are still being blown to bits by our fans who struggle themselves to even celebrate 90th minute winners. Suppose when Cisse scored his 90th minute winner against Fulham last season, that was far more exciting and such a better position to be in

I just don't think Wigan are doing well, each to their own. Got their cup and now in the championship fighting for a playoff place, rather them than us. We just like to rip into ourselves for some reason and bring ourselves down then praise those around us. We were fearing Villa and how Lambert would p*ss all over Pardew, then during the game we sort of clicked that there is in fact worse teams around us than ourselves. Things could be a lot worse than what they actually are here. We are far better placed than the majortiy of clubs in the league. The summer ahead is absolutley crucial for us and it will be very interesting to see how it goes. We've built ourselves a platform this season and next season we need to try and push on.
-
Keeper actually stepped left as he thought it was going that way, then ball swerves massively in other direction. Unbelievable goal!
-
No way is the keeper at fault there The final swere on the ball was amazing which gave the keeper pretty much no chance!
-
You're an idiot. So which bits are idiotic then? This is where i was lost to what you were saying. They played nice football, won the fa cup but got relegated. It's not something i feel jealous of. Boro/Mackems can take their cup wins or runners up medals but it doesn't make me jealous of them. We could play better football more consistently but we have played some good stuff. I watched Southampton at the weekend pass the ball around in circles without doing anything with it against a side who we tore apart and they eventually lost 3-1 despite having the majority of the ball.

That gets you in the whole argument would you rather have an FA cup in the bag and spend a few years fighting in the Championship for it. Debatable Or, as they are in the Quarter Finals of that cup, played in the Europa League and are mounting a great run into the Championship play offs in a 46 game season. Something that would fry your hero's brain to dust. They bombed out of Europa early and outside of the playoffs is not an achievement, like. They now face Man City and i can't see history repeating itself. I still fancy them to be in the Championship for a couple of years yet as it's a very tough league to get out of of once you are in it. We did remarkably well to cruise out of it like we did. You're an idiot. I'm just saying i personally wouldn't take the risk of a cup win and a relegation in same season. PL is where you want to be. Nobody remembers boro for a cup win a decade ago. They are just a nothing team now who hover around mid table in the championship each year. No one is saying that you nutcase. You defend your position by making stuff up people aren't implying or saying. So what you calling me an idiot for? Saying i can't see Wigan getting promoted? That they done shite in Europa?
