I'm interested to see how he translated Salah from Basle, did it sound like....'we are interested in salad from basil'.
-
That's a new one Clearly haven't enquired about him yet. Sure he was linked with Liverpool for about 15 million last week
-
We are a fucking mental club, like
-
So he's basically saying we are doing fuck all?
-
What a joker Should just be thankful he was the one singled out of his team. Was a handful of players who could have been nominated. Was a great team success without any major standout performer.

Personally i think at 23 and the form Henderson is showing i think he should be nailed on to go. I wouldn't have him in the starting 11 but he's an option i'd rather have certainly over Barry from the bench. Carrick is probably the most likely to start and he's been the worst of the bunch this season. I'll be surprised if we try and play Gerrard in that deep role giving his past failings and Villa on Saturday showed just how weak he is in that position. By saying they are pathetic options didn't mean i wouldn't take them. Carrick should be nailed on too and probably starting but i'm not a big fan of his. Although i've been impressed with how Barry has done since joining Everton, he wouldn't cross my mind for a recall, his time has been and gone.

I didn't say he was excellent I said he was having an excellent season, which he has. He's been prominent in Liverpool's form providing lots of energy from midfield and linked up well with the forwards and has made a big contribution to the side. For me a choice of two 32 year old DM's who are past their best and were never great anyways is pathetic for a nation of our standard.
-
Huddlestone was the one had the talent at a young age and looking promising but he fucked it all up really. If it was injuries/attitude/ambition that prevented him from reaching his potential i'm not so sure but i really thought he was the one who could have made that position his own. Or maybe i just overestimated his ability and this is basically the best ir could have got for him.

Should be nailed on for me to be in the squad. Having an excellent season. Carrick/Barry are pathetic options, can't believe that's the best we have to offer and no real sign of a top DM coming through either. Carrick/Barry are pathetic options, yet Henderson has been excellent? Barry's having a very good season. Doesn't mean he's actually cut out for top level international football because he's not. Neither is Henderson. Barry is having a good season but he's also 32 I'd much rather be taking an energetic 23 year old who is improving as the months go by. Neither will be in the starting 11 so i'd rather take the younger player with a much brighter future. Barry/Carrick are probably still the best two DM's we have but neither are great even in their peak and there's no bright prospect coming through looking to dethrone them. Box to box midfielders like Henderson/Wilshere won't be to handle such a role at the standard major tournaments are played at. We've tried Gerrard there and he fails too.

David Moyes says hello..

I hadn't even thought of this I'd be very surprised if Taylor wasn't now dropped considering Mbiwa has hardly put a foot wrong and formed a good partnership with Willo whilst Colo was out injured previously. Especially since Taylor being at fault for the West Ham goal. Pardew stated how hard it was for him to drop Mbiwa when Colo came back, can't see him doing it for Taylor. Tend to agree, for some reason I can just never shake my team selection fear. And I'm a sympathiser FFS! If he does pick Mbiwa, he'll not get praised, if he goes for Taylor...well you know the rest...
-
In slow motion it looks like a simple yellow but in real time it looks reckless and nasty. Can't complain over the red, like. Rafael was a stone wall red. Cahill had every right to be going mental with that sort of tackle flying around near his ankles.

The ball came at him and he's just snatched at it. Hasn't shown any composure in the slightest, just took a wild swing at it. I'd be saying the same thing if it was Remy, not just because it was Carroll and i already think he's average at best. The best excuse he can use is that he hasn't had much game time and could still consider himself 'rusty'. All the bullshit about deliberately missing because it was against us and he didn't want to score is laughable. It was an excellent chance, not a sitter but an excellent chance and he blew it.
-
I don't mind if Pardew feels this is the best way to handle Ben Arfa and give him the freedom he likes. He's clearly a difficult player to manage and if it means skipping a training camp or session here and there so he can do as he pleases then fair enough. Ben Arfa hasn't shown any signs of discontent under Pardew even with his spells on the bench.
-
Didn't need to leather it though, an angled foot to direct it would probably have done enough to direct it in or failing that just passing it. The lack of composure was criminal.

We arent keeping Cabaye past this season, thats been obvious for quite some time. Theres been nothing to say HBA is going/wants to go so i have no idea how i would feel in that impossible imaginary situation I am sure Benny is sick of not playing, seems Pards is not going to be picking him, he has not gone with the rest of the squad for warm weather training. Would not shock me at all if he went before Cabs He hardly ever seems to turn out for these type of things. If anything it's probably why he has a good relationship with Pardew as he seems to be given a lot more freedom than others, if only he was given as much freedom on the pitch.
-
Cabaye is more important to the team but i'd be more gutted if Ben Arfa left...if that makes sense

Cole is better than Baines, imo. Cole has arguably been England's most consistent player in major tournaments. Always seems to be one of a few who walk away with any sort of credit. Agree that in major tournaments, your best players should be getting played if they are 33 or 19 however. Age shouldn’t matter when it comes to the starting 11. This is massively true. Not sure about him being better than Baines, though, but it's close. I'd probably have to say it's close now Cole is out of favour at Chelsea as i've always believed if you're not playing week in week out for your club, you shouldn't be starting for the national team. I may have to make an exception for Cole though as i do rate him so highly and it's a bit of farce he's been frozen out by Jose.
-
Nice to see him getting some praise. Tbf the comments are nothing we didn't alrerady know he could offer. Strong on the ball, works hard and doesn't over complicate things. We just had enough of seeing nothing more other than that after 5 year I liked the comment of ‘If Newcastle can afford to let players like him leave on loan then we should go back for a few more!'

Getting him over than lined up is the problem, do you really think we'll pay £12m for Cabella because i dont. If we get 26 for Cabaye then yes...
-
Least we've lined up a very good player as a replacement, about as positive as we can be. Thought he would have stayed till the summer, like.
