I can’t handle the way he constantly ascribes qualities to people based on nothing other than wanting to sound like he’s saying something powerful: ”He laughs in the face of pressure” is the type of line he says when a player makes a simple pass ”He dreams of another night like that one” If you listen to how he talks about players, he’s constantly saying how they feel and talking stuff up in a ridiculous fashion to try and have his own “commentating moment”. Can’t handle it at all

Think Matterface is the worst of the lot for me. Going to try not to mention him again tonight

Yeah, I looked that up after and am clearly wrong on his top speed but I don’t remember him ever accelerating quickly which is largely more important than top speed unless you’re playing with tons of space to run into

I don’t remember him ever having major acceleration. Looking at his stats he did used to have a high top speed but surely that was only after he got going?

His acceleration is not there at all and he never had major acceleration

What is it that’s fucked Lukaku so bad in the last couple of years? He never had pace so that’s not it

It’s probably hard to gauge how badly the war is affecting him as it coincided with him moving to a new country while it was all kicking off. Settling into somewhere new when you’re terrified of what’s happening back home must be awful

I don’t get him at all. He can look amazing but has a touch of the Obertans about most things he does
