  1. Wasn’t there loads of talk of us being interested in the South American market? We’ve been linked with a lot of Brazilians and a fair few Argentinians. They also mentioned that they were looking at the French league market for value originally. There’s also been a decent amount of scouting of the Italian market too. Find it hard to believe that there aren’t far more affordable options outside the PL. Also think that when it comes to technique, we’re still generally poorer than a lot of our top European counterparts and South American ones. Foden is a match for the rest of the world in terms of technique but there’s few other English / British players that have his technical quality on the ball if any
  2. Aye, and a decent number of them have played on the left hand side too. I like Emile but I’m sure there’s better value out there and he’s not played nearly enough in recent years for him to make an impact this season. If he came next season I still wouldn’t be excited about him by virtue of him having done nothing really yet
  3. I like the abstract, you got a link to the full fanfic?
  4. Sandro Tonali single handedly bringing Dave Benson Phillips out of retirement. Just need to put Tonali’s face on this gif
  5. Need some sort of klaxon that goes off, letting everyone in the ground know it’s time to give him dog’s abuse
  6. There is no point to Mourinho at all. We’re trying to build something for the future here that’s sustainable
  7. Aye, jaded Brummie was my favourite version. You either want jaded or livid opposition fans. Still a very good poster
  8. Not even funny, can’t stand seeing this man’s face. The only pleasure I’d get would be if he relegated them and he’s definitely got it in him
  9. Love Saka but that’s a horrible dive
  10. The lesser spotted Emile Smith Rowe
  11. Think Tuchel, Conte, Klopp and Arteta all have it in them
  12. Would anyone contest the claim that Arteta is the most likely premier league manager to go on to become a serial killer?
  13. Look above for the Martinelli h8ers
  14. He scored fifteen goals in the league last season and five assists. That’s a fantastic return from a wide player and he looked amazing. He’s not had such a good season but he’s a fantastic player
  15. Fuck’s sake, Townsend used the same phrase as me, feel rank
  16. On recent form, sure. However, I think we’ll recover and play very well from February until the end of the season as long as Howe is still here. Spurs, I just think that they’ve ridden huge luck in the early stages, they’re now facing their first major setback and we’ll see their confidence really drop soon
  17. Arsenal Liverpool Man City Aston Villa Fifth: either Man U, us, Brighton or Spurs. I’d put Spurs as the least likely of those four
  18. Don’t think Ange will lose his job but I don’t think they have a chance of top four and probably not top five
  19. Nah, I’m confident we’ll finish above West Ham without problems this season. Prefer to see Arsenal bottle it, but then it lets Liverpool in so it’s hard to get too excited about it
  20. This is where Spurs’ season falls apart
  21. Aye, Isak’s better than Pedro but I’d have wanted them both. Pedro would have been Wilson’s replacement
