  1. Can we stop the needless advertising for SD when it's clear they make up stories to get their name into the news?
  2. You can predict a win no worries, I was talking about which games we can 'expect to win'. You are seriously confusing. You don't expect us to lose at Palace and you don't expect us to win either. Wonder if Pardew's teamtalks are of similar ilk that they turn in different halves most of the time. Think you just need to sharpen up your reasoning faculties marra. I was trying to say that there are no games at the moment where we can say "we should be going down there and rolling these over easily". Predicting a win, or thinking one is likely, is a bit different in my mind. Not sure why that's such a massive issue. Develop some reading skills and read Shay's original post before explaining where 'roll them over' was suggested, marra. Your fault of being contradictory for contrary's sake reveals yourself again.

  4. Damn, I just incurred a 4 pts penalty switching Aguero out and now this...
  5. Predict a loss and you go gaga. Expect to win and you go gaga. Make up your mind, Ian.
  6. Sell more shirts in Korea? Oldtype disagrees.
  7. That's rubbish imo. It's mourinho being a c*** as per usual to anyone who disowns him. Maybe. I have no inside knowledge. It's just a gut feeling. But it's well known the reason AVB left was because he wanted more responsibility. Jose had him working as a scout and refused to promote him. Then they had a falling out. The fact Mourinho didn't want to promote him speaks volumes to my ears. or shows that Mourinho is a complete c*** since AVB has hardly been a complete disaster and utterly clueless since he became a manager. Maybe it was all ego. Who knows? All I know is Mourinho didn't promote him and, to me, AVB comes across as a chancer. He hasn't been a total disaster, no. But he has his UEFA licences. He's had his training to the point where he can manage professionally. But outside of that I can't see anything that separates him from the bloke on the street. I think he's very fortunate to be where he is. Jose Mourinho always had a local assistant where he went - Clarke (Chelsea), Baresi (Inter), Karanka (Real), Steve Holland (Chelsea). Unfair to whack AVB with 'he's not good enough' when it's clear Mourinho has his preferences when it comes to appointing his assistants.
  8. Thought Gouffran is listed as a forward?
  9. Doubt Man Utd will loan Zaha to us when he isn't guaranteed game time anyway. If he isn't going to be playing regularly and just sitting on the bench he might as well sit on theirs.
  10. If you don't the likes of Everton are going to use the loan system to great effect. Of course I would prefer a loan with a view to buy but if a quality player like Lukaku turns up and we are short in that position, why not? We only have ourselves to blame for not utilising the loan system to our benefit in terms of both ins and outs.
  11. If so, I reckon Levy would appoint him as sole caretaker instead of naming a trio of coaches to manage the first team.
  12. Don't see how being captain of a title-winning side makes him more suited for the job. And yeah, bitter as usual.
  13. Not that that will really influence his selection either. Not with the Deulofeu/ Everton case but it would be a nice incentive when you send a developmental player - the likes of Sammy, Bigirimana, Ferguson - out on loan.
  14. Fwiw I am open to the rare couple of quality loanees since our owner is a stingy cunt. Not more than that though or we find ourselves in a mackem situation where we depend heavily on the loan system developing other clubs' players, and having to rebuild every season when the loans expire. For the same reason I'm not interested in developmental players who aren't going to contribute much here. Neither would the loaning club if their players don't play I suspect.
  15. No club will agree to a 'must play' clause when it will open up a can of problems. Will you be obliged to play a penalty if he doesn't and is such a penalty legit in the first place? Or the manager is forced to play a disinterested loanee or rush him back from any injuries? Barca are smart with the Deulofeu loan though - if he plays a certain % of games, Everton don't have to play a loan fee. That's the way it should be really.

He's just being nice. Doubt anyone would have made perfect interpretation of what your intented words were.

  18. So much truth in Wenger's words a few months back. Baldini was AVB's choice as DoF btw.
  19. Interesting. Was the draw meant to be live today?
  20. Will he get to fulfill his destiny as Aston Villa manager?
  21. I think their points tally last season was the highest in their PL history.
  22. Pretty sure Vertonghen, Calriches and Rose are injured or else he wouldn't play Capoue and Naughton. Dawson on the other hand is just antiqued in their lineup to be a mainstay all season. The lack of heart in the players is evident though. No one gets any credit surrendering 5 goals without a fight at home.
