  1. I'm guessing Australia is playing good and brillantly.

    U23s & Academy

Hope they continue to be loaned out and get some valuable match experience since they are nowhere near the first team.
  3. So he's gonna be in the public limelight again, and a fecking huge one at that meeting the fans. Just go around doing your job quietly. Like a referee, you're only good when people don't notice you.
  4. That's why there are people who know that nothing will change unless he sells up, and have a sense of apathy about the situation.
  5. How do you work with someone who obviously doesn't give a damn how you think? He'll just enjoy his subversion of the fans, appoints the likes of Kinnear, pop on his shades and tell you to deal with it.

We are losing/ have lost out in players to QPR, Swansea and Cardiff. What madness is this?
  7. Plenty, plenty monies. Many, many monies? Considering the TV-deal was like a million trillion quadroolions, and Southampton are spending £50M, we should have a little money in our wallets at least. An increase of some £20m from the bottom club to some £40m for the league winners by some estimates. Enough to cover an empty stadium btw. The money we've just received/will soon receive is the last payment of the previous deal AFAIK (?). I think this coming season is when the new deal kicks in so we'd get the increased payment next summer. Starts from the new season, yup. Didn't stop clubs from spending ahead to consolidate their lucrative PL status.

No worries. It's Man U, not Arsenal. You'll get him back in a few years for 5m tops.
  9. Yeah, think we have spent a vast portion of our summer budget on those January signings. We should be decently fine with a couple of quality additions. The unknown is how our transfers will pan out with the Kinnear factor.

  11. Don't think we will spend much this summer. Decent money on a striker and a cheap backup for a CH plus some promising youngsters and that's it. If we get a good striker and a proper winger I'll be happy regardless of how much we spend. I'm just worried any shift in transfer policy may be to our detriment when there are better options around.

If our intent was serious of course it would change things. We made enquiries, Southampton made an actual offer I bet you we get to the Clyne stage of a transfer about 10 times a window, maybe more yet we only sign one or two. The player himself said he was close to a move. How much more intent do you need? Players are close to moving all the time. Now Clyne sounds like a hero to Southampton fans turning down a move to somewhere to go there when in reality we didnt even agree a fee, he didnt meet the manager and it never got passed agents talking. You know how this transfer game works right? Nope, of course you know the transfer game better.

His club was due compensation due to his age. It was either the tribunal or coming to an agreed fee with them, which Southampton did.
  14. Enjoying his popcorn as we speak.

It wouldn't have changed anything even if we agreed a fee. He was close to committing but chose to go to Southampton for a number of reasons. Whether we could have been in 'earlier', no one will ever know.

Clyne chose to reject us as he wanted regular matches. We didnt even agree a fee.

  20. Colours other than black or white makes any letterings or numbers more visible. I have no problem with that and will gladly take that over a patch. Money talks though. When you have a patch it kinda feels incomplete without a name and number and it pushes you to get them. Bam, more profit. Patches are here to stay whether we like it or not.

  22. Can't believe we've never looked to sign someone from the far east. Did we ever have an Asian player? (Chopra doesn't count)

The sources for Cattermole and Sessegnon going are the Mirror and Sky Tyne and Wear. Doubt either will go unless it's a good offer, both recently signed new deals. Plus even if Cattermole was to go I doubt we'd notice much difference as he's rarely on the pitch. As for the other three, they're no great loss. You will need a good pre-season and some time to bed in those players if the player turnover is high. I would keep those key players like Mignolet or Sess in case the new signings can't adapt. Kinda risky hoping the new guys will settle fast. Surprised with Sess being linked away though. Does PDC not rate him?
