What's with the close up shots?
-
It all boils down to the clean slate that they are given under a proper manager. If they do well, great we have options. If they don't, ship them out. Joelinton and Almiron are two who might benefit from the new setup. Time will tell.
-
Definitely be amused if Howe becomes player-manager.
-
Shola is in the Hall of Fame, never mind he got that accolade earlier than Speed.
-
Great that the club is recognising our legends. Feels immense to have a proper club again.
-
Accepts being head coach, not manager. Good going for the DOF setup we will have.
-
Says until summer of 2024?
-
It is fine as long as we know the key positions to strengthen in. We can always look to improving all areas of the squad, seeing that no one is indispensable and we now have the budget. Would also mean a potential successor to Dubravka and that we can bin Darlow off.

Only knows how to point at others.

No player on the pitch wants to take up leadership. It will take a lot to turn this bunch around.
-
Guess the relegation clause is as real as Howe walking away.
-
Was it the same Mirror guy who wrote about Emery rejecting the job cos of a "relegation clause"?
-
Guess nerves have calmed down.
-
Now that I know more about his dedication to football, his work ethics and self-improvement over these few days, I want him to succeed with us. Hope he gets the same reception from our fanbase too.

Over the line yet or still monitoring?

Agree. If we are to go with Howe's 4-4-2 or 4-4-1-1, then it has to be Almiron and ASM on the wings, and Willock (who hasn't looked great in a central midfield role) as a 10 behind Wilson. Hayden is probably one of the first names in central midfield, considering the dearth in that area. As many have mentioned, it is imperative we bring in a CM or two in January. 4 at the back - Schar has to be there if Howe wants to play from the back. Would like to give Lewis a second chance and see how he progresses with a proper manager. Manquillo another "first name" due to lack of good options. Then ship the likes of Shelvey, Ritchie and Clark out once we have better replacements.

With his physically dominant playing style, he was always going to be another Duncan Ferguson when it comes to injuries. Especially when he isn't the best professional when it comes to taking care of his body.
-
You mean the guy with no pace, can't dribble or cross?
-
Oh well, Emery would have been fantastic. On a more realistic level, have to take baby steps for now and ensure NUFC stays in the PL and gradually becomes more attractive to top managers and players. Kinda sucks that it potentially fell through cos of amateur stuff like leaks though.

A lot of the anxiety here came from the league position we are in. Add to a lack of news and the two lackluster performances, it is understandable why people wanted things to move faster. I wouldn't be as worried if we are mid-table.

Was wondering who you would be happy with.

OMG, good appointment. Worth the wait after all.

He has the distinction of being the first to go into my ignore list on this new forum.

Would be continuing on engagement and communication if they can come out to assure the fans about any managerial progress (without specific names or confidential stuff of course). Been absolutely quiet this week.
