Tiote better imo. But Colo's passing is exceptional. He threaded the ball through Bolton's midfield, which gave us huge amount of space. That marginal pass that led to the goal irritates me though. But Harper should also have done better. The ball wasn't that hard or well placed.

Best and Loven are actually improving for each game. The first half from Best today was the best I've seen from him. Some of the touches had high class. Could easily had a couple of goals.

Loven and Beth were both class in the first half. Loven created a big chance for Taylor and managed to get us a corner from a tight position, which resulted in our goal. They both were drained for energy as the game evolved.. But we should have led with plenty before halftime. And then you would have praised Loven.. Raylor was also good in the first half. Very good linesmen today. With a bit incompetence from their side, we could have had a penalty and a red card awarded. The offsides on Best and Ranger were annoyingly close..Especially the last one could easily have been missed. Almost glad it was correct. The subs change the game to our advantage. We owned the first half and should have led with three-four goals. Loven and Best were both sharp in the first half, but ran out of energy in the second. So many margins that went against us today that stopped us from getting all three points: Barton's injury, a shitload of missed chances and Colo's avoidable pass and Taylor's idiotic tackle. I totally agree! He brings very little to pitch outside the box. He's carried by Tiote's excellence, which allows him to sneak into the opponent box. He could be a much better player if he wants to though. Some pundits in Norway have ridiculed Nolan's body, stating directly that he looks like a pub player. And I tend to agree. He's 30 soon and should take more responsibility for what he's eating. He's too fat which hurts his overall play (slow, weak stamina and moves too little). But if he pays more attention to his lifestyle he could be able to hold his place next season. Loose a couple of couple of pounds, and he will improve his play considerable imo

That's where you're wrong. Loven takes many solid runs without being used. Because of Nolan we don't have a cm that's able to serve him the balls we need (through balls behind the defense, either on ground or in air). Barton is able to do this, but since he plays as RM he's often crossing the ball to the other side. It's much harder to hit a through ball from his position. Loven is not that gong ho as Ranger: He doesn't run that much, but his runs are good and accurate. If he's calledd off for offside, it's often very marginal or a wrong decision. We need an attacker today that constantly is trying to break through Bolton's defense. That's what physical teams hate: passing and through balls on the ground in the longitudinal direction. We will not win this game by hitting those long balls. That's also why we played so well against Bham and Burn: we kept the ball on the ground. Mate, you're talking about Peter Lovenkrands here. We were the only team in England prepared to offer him a contract 18 months back, and he's deteriorated since. If you look at our worst attacking performances of the season, he's the common demoninator.
