Maybe I'm just naive/bias/ignorant/whatever but I don't think any of the issues being spouted by organisations and other certain people should have anything to do with us. These people are going to continue investing in/buying businesses all around the world, I don't see why NUFC should be the one thing that they aren't allowed to buy, I also don't see why we as fans should feel guilty about it either.

As I mentioned a few pages back the ducks are being lined up in a row. The announcements this week by the government and the laws being introduced by the Saudis on the piracy and Intellectual property are certainly imho suggesting this. Aye, it's what I thought, it's no coincidence that they've started doing all sorts re: intellectual property. My worry is what are the PL waiting for, and for how long. The Saudis are clearly doing stuff to counter the piracy claims, but what do the PL want from it? Do they want to wait until they have some kind of results? (fuck knows what the measure of that would be)…or are they happy with the them to just show that they're taking action...in which case the Saudis have done this so what's the hold up? Are they also waiting for something else? I'm not expecting answers from you by the way Just 'thinking out loud' as it were.

It does feel like that tbh, this is usually the point where we realise nothing's been said for a while so we probably won't hear nowt else Although I don't think that's the case this time, as we've never actually been to the PL checks stage so I expect to hear something one way or another. My gut feeling is still the same, which is that they've been given an unofficial 'no' until they can prove they're sorting shit out.

Why do you not go and support another club then, as the only thing I have seen you contribute on within the footballing part of the forum is the takeover and your anti-thoughts on it. Do you have to support the takeover to support the club now? That seems to be the consensus on here anyway. You don't have to. But if you feel that strong toward Saudi owned Newcastle, then the only logical thing for you if the takeover is approved is to stop supporting Newcastle. No-one has turned against amnesty, frustration has been voiced but I think I can say that there are no posters saying amnesty International is a bad organisation. Being pedantic, its not his wife and whilst she has legitimate grounds for her complaints they are focused solely on nufc, as if we were the only SA business interest. She has every right, but I definitely agree that she's a bit well versed and relentless on the takeover. Surely her interviews etc should be highlighting the atrocity from all angles not just the takeover (forgive me if I'm wrong, I might only see the NUFC related stuff).
