  1. We put 6 past spurs, 4 past everton away who've just took the piss out of Brighton.

I'd say we've got a pretty 'consistent cutting edge' (evidenced by our position/goal difference/W column) but it's never going to happen every single game, we hit the post and had other chances, it was just one of them days.

Aye. £87.79. When are people cashing out? It's either now or never imo.

Just leaving it to see what happens myself.

Lose my 10a and I'm not fussed, if they come up then I'll be happy with the £660 profit ha

Also got a 10a cover on them to come up/us to finish outside the top 4 at 200/1..... so if the worst happens at least I've got something to cushion the blow!

  3. I don't enjoy derby day nerves at all but couldn't give a shite of they come up really.

The little cover bet I have won't hurt either, cash out currently standing at 87 quid.

  4. Went back on my initial instincts and watch motd on I player.... wish I didn't

Changed my mind and think the pel should have stood, the ref didn't make a clear error and after watching var there's nowt in there that's concrete enough to change his mind, in my (probably) bias opinion obviously.

The schar header, Isak off the post etc... fucks sake wish I'd stuck to my guns and not watched it.  Could have been so different but just wasn't our day.

Feel like one of the biggest let downs from a goalscoring perspective has been Botman and Schar from set pieces (Burn too, tbf).

We've got 3 big centre backs in there and not one of them has scored from a set piece. This can't be entirely down to Trippier.

Feel like I mention it at every match, I don't understand how we win everything in the air all over the pitch, but when it comes to corners it just doesn't happen.

You can blame some of it on delivery obviously but I'm fairly certain we should be getting more proper powerful headed goals from our beast of a team

It was from Xmas when Webb took over though after initially drifting away from it quickly when first introduced.

I know that's what it's meant to be, it's just not how it gets used.

Love that clip of Shearer going in on them, it's exactly my issue with it.

I like VAR, assuming it's used to correct blatant errors.  I don't agree with it being used for hairline offsides etc

You can only see that after it’s slowed down at a certain angle tbf, which I think is the point he’s making. It isn’t a clear and obvious error.

I think it's about time we accepted this isn't the rule for using VAR now.

Night and day between him and Arteta et al like.

He touches on things like 'you want the ball in play', but doesn't use it as an excuse.  If that's the likes of Arteta, Klopp etc on the receiving end of a home defeat, they lash out at the time wasting/shit housing and use it as an excuse.

    Love the bloke.

First Goal was huge. I'm waiting for her to go to bed so I can check the pen.

Aye it wasn't great to concede that, it wasn't anything spectacular and at the time I felt Pope had plenty of time to get across, but it shouldn't have even got that far.

About the pen, kid next to me had a message off his mate saying 'it's came off his leg'.  fuck knows how he gets a signal in there btw.

I don't think I'll even watch any highlights back to check what happened, just want to move on to the next.

  10. Executed their plan to perfection, was never gona be the end of the world getting beat today.

Few chances missed, hit the post, great save from Ramsdale, another day we come away with something.

We weren't particularly bad although they did seem to have too much space in the middle, fuck it.

    On to the next.

The testimonial was a good game, just the ending lol Shearer on penalty to score :P

I still remember that 17 years on, can't believe 17 years................ wow

Yeah, I was 22....makes me feel old but I'd whisper it quietly on here, it probably feels like yesterday to some of the, shall we say, 'more seasoned' posters

Just been talking about ticketing in general with a mate this morning after he was given queue number 27,000 odd for Leicester today. Surely the sensible thing to do now is to take membership privileges away from season ticket holders (ie allowing to buy extra home tickets) and reduce their season ticket price by the £30 or £35 the extra membership fee costs that's been added to it.

They already have their seat. They don't need another one and members should be in front of them in the queue for home tickets.

Would cause me problems, my bairn has a junior magpie membership so i can get her a ticket to a few home games, when I take her I need to buy 2 together elsewhere in the ground as the ones near me are all st holders.  If they took away my option to buy an extra ticket I wouldn't be able to take her ever as it doesn't allow me to buy a 10 year old a ticket by herself rendering her membership pointless.

I get the argument but for purely selfish reasons I'd be against it, I'm sure there'll be others who have kids on junior memberships and would be in the same boat.

Every time we've lost we've rebounded with a win.

Most of us had Brighton away as a loss anyway. They could only score a penalty against us in 180 minutes with a makeshift defence. We've done well.

Amazing celebrations on here. Biggest of the season so far. I hope you celebrate getting top four more.

    Nice.
