  1. Russia was poor, should have got a point from that. 3 points most likely not enough to get us through.. Unlucky Pohjanpalo.
  2. You mean Finland should have played at 2pm in Copenhagen on Tuesday and 2pm in St. Petersburg on Wednesday?
  3. Tbh Joelinton has been quite important defending set pieces. ManU has been poor. Just whipping it in to box from left or James running blindly on the right.
  4. Eh? He’s just rinsed Clyne from a standing start. Yea, and lot of poor touches and needless fouls.
  5. It was the same in possession against Everton. Hayden drops in, the two CB’s push wider and the full backs get higher up the pitch. Just doesn't work as well because Palace doesn't press. Hayden has no point dropping there.
  6. We played 5-3-2 at the end again? Thought we would go with 4-4-1-1 with Hendrick on the right. Hayden looks totally lost as a CB
  7. Not sure Darlow would have got there to punch it away. Seemed to be slow off his line.
  8. Carroll is so bad. What is the point of him there?
  9. Fernandes has been awful. He is so incredibly slow.
  10. ? Hand next to his body? Thought that was really natural position. What are you questioning? We're both saying the same thing. Lol, read it wrong sorry. That handball rule has to be changed some way. We are getting 2-3 penalties a game with this one..
  11. Don't they have allowances for substitutions? You'd think they'd have the same for goals. Subs are a ~minute. Goals are nothing if there aren't long celebrations. Otherwise there would be 5-6 mins added time each game with lots of goals. When are there ever 10 or 12 goals in a game The general rule of thumb is 30secs for goals and subs The subs thing isn't a general rule of thumb though, it's a rule. A rule that we are aware of. I'm sure we'd know if there was a rule regarding goals. Law 7. Allowance for time lost Allowance is made by the referee in each half for all time lost in that half through: substitutions assessment and/or removal of injured players wasting time disciplinary sanctions medical stoppages permitted by competition rules e.g. ‘drinks’ breaks (which should not exceed one minute) and ‘cooling’ breaks (ninety seconds to three minutes) delays relating to VAR 'checks' and 'reviews; any other cause, including any significant delay to a restart (e.g. goal celebrations) The fourth official indicates the minimum additional time decided by the referee at the end of the final minute of each half. The additional time may be increased by the referee but not reduced. The referee must not compensate for a timekeeping error during the first half by changing the length of the second half. So not goals. Any other cause, PGMOL have said standard PL practice is 30 seconds per goal. OK. But the example given is goal celebration. So it definitely doesn't stipulate goals. I haven't got a clue who PGMOL are, tbh. I get substitutions and goal celebrations as they are deliberate tactics to run the clock down. but you don't score a goal to run the clock down. Look them up - it’s not hard. I’d recommend Google. To quote them - and they run/ manage the referees “they do add time. It's around 30 seconds as a rule of thumb, unless they spend five minutes celebrating. Every situation is different, they'll take each one on its merit.” I think you should quote the whole answer: "Is the clock stopped for goals? No, it's not. But they do add time (to cover celebrations). It's around 30 seconds as a rule of thumb, unless they spend five minutes celebrating. Every situation is different, they'll take each one on its merit." So no, goals do not automatically mean added time. There might be no celebrations at all.

  13. Thought Pickford should have done better there.. Pretty close but goes straight center..

  16. Fantastic team goal from Everton. Calvert-Lewin again.
  17. Brighton had a pen too. Palace also had a pen in game one. 2 goals ruled out by VAR. Oh well. Penalty was fine, no idea why they played a minute (or 2) extra though. Because of Brighton's celebrations in injury time. Naah, goals are not a reason for injury time and celebrations werent that long. Goals are a reason for injury time No they are not. long celebrations are, don't think Brighton's celebrations was extra long. Game had 20 secs left. Usually would have ended just after the restart.

  20. Can't pass the ball with A) Fernandez and Lascelles as a centrehalves B) with midfield of Hendrick and Hayden. Totally non-existent.
  21. Didn't see the first half. Did he get injured?
  22. Lindelöf blocks a shot going towards goal with his hand. No intent, but nowadays 100% penalty. Retake was a joke.
