Wolves are upping the tempo now, and we are gonna tire so much at the end of the game. And only 1 sub left...

Whilst I agree, he was critical in our goal and had contributed to our best opportunities. He was playing well, I agree. Just isn't a goal threat.
-
Carroll won't be risked, to Atsu. This is ridiculous. Gayle is not PL quality though anyway.
-
Lejeune is so bad man. People slagging off Dummett but he is just so realiable compared to Lejeune at the moment. Fernandez gave him the space so his fault also.

You’re so weird. That article isn’t a slight on rafa, Abeid is a good player. Yeah Lee Ryder doing articles every day on players Rafa sold is a pure coincidence You'd think Ivan Toney and Abied turned out like Zidane not banging in goals in league 1. Almost as if they found their level Lee. What about selling Xabi Alonso because he wanted Gareth Barry instead? It’s called being forced to sell to raise money. He didn’t have the luxury of Mourinho under Abramovich of not needing to sell to buy. Aye but specifically selling Xabi Alonso to get Gareth Barry? It wasn’t it was to strengthen other areas of the team. He had Mascherano and Gerrard he thought Barry would be a good utility player to cover multiple positions. In an ideal world he would have wanted to keep a player he named as one of his best ever signings but he wasn’t living in a Abramovich world. What multiple positions does Gareth Barry play? Center midfield and?

Lingard is trying to offload Lingard. He hired Raiola to try and force a move. He has been dreadful for a year, but there is a really good player in there. Good player in Lingard? no, there isn't.

Lejeune has been awful. Dummett and Lascelles cannot get back fast enough

It is not a "joke". It is a law designed to be interpreted by human eyes that is now being taken to the finest margins possible with highly questionable technology and methodology. The margins are far too small for the technology being used, so the solution is either to improve the technology/methodology or decrease the margin. I am genuinely stunned at how terrible VAR has been in the Premier League. It is markedly inferior to when it debuted on the biggest stage at the World Cup, and I was not fond of it at that time, either. Should just be a still photo for VAR-ref, no lines being drawn, he decides from that if there is a clear offside, if not, the goal stands.

Wan Bissaka had an absolute field day. He was allowed to run at full pace unopposed at Willems numerous times, it was no wonder he was able to get past him so easily. The problem was 3 man midfield. 5-4-1 would have worked better, now Longstaffs were dragged all over the pitch. Just doesnt work without Atsu or ASM on the wing to bring a bit of pace.
-
I'd love to hear that too, he certainly puts the whistle to his mouth well before it hits the back of the net The ball hit the net when he whistled. But there was a Van Dijk handball before the first goal that wasn't checked.
-
Yes it is VAR problem, if it is used like this. Shouldn't check offsides with it. Just red cards and penalties.
-
Liverpools attacking 5 is damn difficult to pick up. So much width and switching positions etc. Back 4 like Leicester's yesterday seems definitely not to work. Chillwell was dragged all over the pitch. Either should have very defensive minded wingers or maybe try to exploit the space behind Robertson and TAA. Just that their midfield covers so much ground and Van Dijk is a monster. A lot better attacking force nowadays than City.
-
It's fucking balls There’s no width. When you’re playing to hit a team on the break and defending, you need the width. If Manquillo and Willems are so far back and you haven’t got the wingers it’s easy for Man Utd to press the midfield as that’s the only place the pass from the back can go. Possibly a factor in Schar and Longstaff attempting the balls they had, they literally had no outlet wide. We have a bit of shortage of wingers though. Atsu and Almiron? Maybe Muto can play there or Hayden, but that's about it.
-
Longstaffs haven't really communicated at all. Pogba, Mata, Rashford, Martial and Pereiraa have all moved behind them infront of the back 5 and have been able to turn and pick passes. Either of them should drop, or one of the centrehalves to step up. Hasn't really worked and tbh ManU has been a lot lot better. Worrying thing is that this way to play is very tiring for the players and our squad is terribly thin.

Sterling has gone pass him few times pretty easily tho. He's stopped Sterling a good number of times too. I mean ... it's Raheem Sterling you know? Guy usually consistently blows by people with ease. Yea agree. AWB great 1 v 1. Gonna be a great defender, sometimes his postitioning is a bit weird, but doing good so far in this one.

What Dubravka and ASM are pretty much the only decent players. And maybe Willems.
-
Wow, Finland so close now. We certainly can't screw this up ?
-
What happened to ASM? Bad injury?
-
Should have squared it to Atsu though..
-
We can't keep this up sadly. Eriksen will come on and Hayden-Longstaff will get tired. Joelinton needs to hold the ball a bit and get Almiron into play better.
-
Longstaff losing possession so easily.
-
Agree. Glad he is Finnish
-
Tbh the new rule for handball is a bit shite.

He should be in Ki's position. He has legs and energy to cover the pitch. Shelvey and Ki are way to slow.
