Fuck off Steve. Dropping Longstaff Also those quotes about not being afforded the patience that Rafa got sound like he’s already hoping for a pay off. Longstaff was poor in the first game tbh. Maybe this means ASM and Almiron both to start?
-
I think he played well. To be honest was against 2 centrebacks the whole game and got in to couple of good situations. We lost the controll totally when Jonjo game off for Willems (wtf that was btw) We had Dummet, Willems, ASM and Ritchie on at the end. And no one on the right wing.

Longstaff has been poor. Lots of missed passes.
-
He’s only 21 though? 22 this year so isn't eligible for team. Maybe League Cup games and reserves then..
-
Aye was hoping he wouldn’t translate in the Prem but he’s really taken to it. Yes, just like Steve Mounie opening day 2017. Pukki is four times the player Mounie is tho.
-
Yea sorry forgot Longstaff. Think our squad would be best deployed a bit like that. Almiron or Max can't be played in the midfield and both most likely will start. Or maybe Almiron on against tired legs or something..
-
Most likely? Dubravka Schär - Lascelles - Lejeune Yedlin/Kraft? Ritchie Shelvey - Hayden Almiron Saint-Maximin Joe So basically 3-4-2-1 or 5-2-2-1.

I dont really understand this hate for Dummett. He was decent last season, not great, but as a left footer is a useful player and probably pretty cheap. Manquillo and Yedlin are much worse.
-
That said, while Souness was a terrible manager, he did have some standards. He wouldn't sign up to rubber stamp players he'd never heard of. Luque?
-
I thought Joelinton was first rumoured ages ago? When Rafa was still in charge.
-
On the other hand, Salah foul at Anfield is a 100% penalty with VAR. The one Dummett did.
-
Rafa has to wake up. Getting overrun in the middle.

No DENYING A GOAL OR AN OBVIOUS GOAL-SCORING OPPORTUNITY Where a player denies the opposing team a goal or an obvious goal-scoring opportunity by a deliberate handball offence the player is sent off wherever the offence occurs. Where a player commits an offence against an opponent within their own penalty area which denies an opponent an obvious goal-scoring opportunity and the referee awards a penalty kick, the offending player is cautioned if the offence was an attempt to play the ball; in all other circumstances (e.g. holding, pulling, pushing, no possibility to play the ball etc.) the offending player must be sent off. A player, sent off player, substitute or substituted player who enters the field of play without the required referee's permission and interferes with play or an opponent and denies the opposing team a goal or an obvious goal-scoring opportunity is guilty of a sending-off offence The following must be considered: distance between the offence and the goal general direction of the play likelihood of keeping or gaining control of the ball location and number of defenders

Ritchie after whole NO has blamed him the whole game
-
Made some good saves in the game too. Few good catches that he really had to make. Shame it ended like that but surely thats a foul.
-
Cardiff really is awful. We shouldn't be able to lose this lead, but we are.
-
Clark 2-3 yards behind anyone else in line. Nice.
-
Tbh I wouldnt touch Solanke. He isn't better than Rondon so someone better please. as if we are signing anyone though. Need a CM so badly.
-
Sad thing is we have no central midfielder on the bench. I mean, how is this even possible?
-
We really have 2 central midfielders. Its a joke tbh. Ki out and Hayden handed a transfer request.
-
That would have gone down really well. Don't how it would have gone down, but they were throwing everyone up and still we werent very dangreous on the counter.
-
I think he should have brought a 3rd cb or Hayden to help defence at hour mark. We were getting badly overrun and didnt have a threat on the counter. Atsu was a horrible sub.
-
Burnley is horrible. Really have to improve hugely or they are down..
