  2. We are in the top half, and our aim was/is to stay up. Because of this I don't care too much about our home/away form, just want as many points as possible and guarenteed safety ASAP.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

I'd rather not rush him, but don't just 'ignore' him by not giving him any time on the pitch. Hopefully we let him have a month or so in full training then arrange a behind closed doors match where he gets roughly 45 minutes, then another where he gets about 70 minutes a week later, then another where he gets 90 minutes before letting him sit on the bench. Should just give him 10-15 minutes in the last few games and then that's it until pre-season comes along. But with our luck he'll get f*cked (Barton v Carlisle?) I'm nee physio, like. But that's roughly what i'd do.

I'm 100% staying in L7. Only thing i'll miss is standing up, but the atmosphere will hopefully drift up from L4 and still be decent enough in L7. It's way too expensive for me to move down.
  5. No he wasnt, dont be silly. Yes he was.
  6. He looked like he was a player wanting to leave yesterday. I can't see him being here next season.

    Ryan Taylor

Could potentially cost us a European position, but I highly doubt it. Shocking decision, and was I bollocks clapping him off the field. Why should I? He made the mistake, there was no point in the challenge and he deserved to go. Hope he finds a club in the summer at his standards, so someone like Barnsley.

    N-O Player's Awards

Run of the season (I'm being an optimist and saying Ben Arfa within the last few games of the season, because he's gonna run 45 yards and score)
  9. 19 games with him - 42% win 8 games without him - 12.5% win By far our most important player, and I believe these stats prove it!
  10. This a wind up? October - Lets give Carroll a new deal, he deserves it. January - Give me another new deal - Liverpool bid - New deal or I leave - Fuck off then, thanks for the £35 million. Fair play to Ashley. That was probably double his value and one less greedy tosser at the club. I have never heard of any player getting a new deal then wanting another new deal 2 months later.
  11. Great news to wake up to. Why people being so negative? What the hell does MA need to do to make everyone happy? (don't say f*ck off). This shows we are not a selling club. Carroll went because he was being a greedy c*nt and the club had already given him a new deal yet wanted another 2 months later, also the fact that Liverpool paid way way wayyyyy over the odds. Booo hooo, i'd have sold him as well if I owned the club. This new deal could mean three things: 1) We can keep other good players such as Barton and Enrique as well as showing Ben Arfa we are going to be ambitious. 2) We can show any new signings that this club is going places as we're (presuming Jose and Barton sign) giving all our quality players a new deal. We want to challenge for top 7. 3) If anyone wants Tiote, the fee has just been put up to at least £20 million.
  12. Glad Blackpool hasn't been changed, already booked a couple of days off to go down.
  13. Be at a club like us? What are you implying? What about Andy Carroll, the eighth most expensive player of all time? We may not like to say it on here but we truly are one hell of a club with tons of supporters and even more importantly tons of potential. We are not an elite football club. We are one of the biggest in England, but a decent distance from the likes of Man Utd, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal. Compare that to the world, then there are many clubs way "better" and "bigger" than NUFC. No point in bringing Andy Carroll into this. He left us for a "bigger" club with more success, and he wants his potential to shine at Liverpool. And as for Punk - Bad behaviour isn't unusual with young footballers. They can still progress at top clubs as the best managers in the world know how to control them. It's laughable that people are saying Ben Arfa could even be anywhere near as good as Ronaldo. Yes he might have the quality to be a good CL player, but he won't ever be as good as Ronaldo whoever is his manager. Just my opinion of course...
  14. Going to watch us play in Europe, whatever the results.
  15. Comparing Ben Arfa and C.Ronaldo If Ben Arfa was so good, or had the potential to be so good, do you think he would be at a club like us? There is a reason Ronaldo is classed as one of the best footballers in the world, and Ben Arfa isn't.
  16. Sheffield Wednesday away, 1999. I was 6. We won either 2-0 or 2-1, and I remember my dad saying how purple I had turned when the players come out of the tunnel.

    NUFC/Puma store

Aye I walked past the other day and the 5-1 was on a big flatscreen telly, and earlier today was the 4-4 v Arsenal. Looks a bit better/posher. Didn't go in, like. 99% of the stuff in the NUFC shop is shite.

Biggest rip off in Europe for an 18 year old to get a ST beneath L7.
  19. That a joke? Are both sets of fans paying the same prices, btw? Or is this just all neutrals.
  20. Wouldn't want Bassong back even if he started paying us however, Palacios would be a good signing and if Wigan go down we could nab Roddagella on the cheap. Sorry don't think I was being clear enough. I meant Tiote and Enrique might realise that moving to a bigger club doesn't always pay off, and listed a few examples. Then I meant we should give Tiote and Enrique better deals.
  21. This season has been superb compared to what I expected. The main stand-outs being: - Tiote and Barton dominating our midfield - Making a laughing stock of both the Mackems and Villa - The greatest comeback in PL history - Steady away performances including our first win at the Emirates. There have definitly been more positives than negatives. All we need to do in the summer is bring in two players that will walk into the side (winger and striker, imo) to show the likes of Enrique, Tiote and Barton that this club is on the up. Tiote and Enrique might realise that moving to a "bigger" club isn't always the best thing. Look at Muntari. He went for big money to Inter and finds himself trying to re-gain form at the Mackems. Palacios in and out of the Spurs side, Bassong warming the bench up when he could have found himself playing every week for us. All we need to do is offer them a better deal and show them that this club is being ambitious.

    Leon Best

Played well and it was a great finish. Looking onto next season, he's the perfect type of striker we need for squad depth as I think we should be looking for two strikers to go straight into the first-team, then ship Xisco out and Ranger on loan.
  23. Excellent 3 points and another away clean sheet. Coloccini Williamson - Great partnership. Bar a few mistakes like all players make, they've done much better than I expected and it's ages since we had a decent CB partnership. They bossed Martins and Zigic for virtually all of that match. Joke if Saylor gets back into the team. Tiote - Was his usual self....amazing. By far the best defensive player I have watched at Newcastle so far. He dominated the midfield and picked up all of the loose balls. Jonas - First time in a while he's played very well. Set up two goals and hopefully he can keep up his form for a while. Ben Arfa, Ireland and Gosling coming back could help him perform. Best Lovenkrands - Worked well together and glad they both got a goal. Hopefully Lovenkrands only went off with a knock and he's fine for next Saturday. Those were the stand outs for me. I'm almost certain we will survive now. Might aswell push on and try for a top 10 finish NEVER EVER THOUGHT I'D SAY THAT AFTER JUST GETTING PROMOTED.
