90th minute free kick over the wall by Roberts to make it 2-2 in the U23s match. Decent pace in our attacking players but can’t say there is much quality tbh from what I’ve seen.

It’s been fairly crap. Stupid foul for their penalty, and the twat who scored didn’t even acknlowedge of home fans, ran straight to the away end showing the badge and hand to ear etc and giving it the ‘sshhh’. Think it was Gooch. Away end making a decent noise even if it is repeating the same few songs. Google safc dot com and the Facebook link for it live is on there. Good picture and hasn’t froze once (if anyone wants to watch it rather than CL that is).

Surely if they go down (again) they’ll close the upper tier to home fans.

It’s awful. Simple as that.

Should make them play two in three days. PL Friday night, FAC Sunday or even Monday. If they are good enough to still be in all these competitions then that’s their issue. Why should we be affected? Imagine going to Spurs second last game of the season midweek needing a win to have a chance of survival all because their fixture congestion made us wait two months to play.

It’s the players infront of him imo. Yedlin got beat far too many times, Clark played like he had the boots on the wrong feet, and Shelvey stopped virtually nothing from midfield. Darlow was ok today. Made some good saves - not saying he’s great but he was not to blame for anything wrong today and people need to lay off him.

Spurs away then City at home. Calm down lads there’s no need to rush into changes just like people did for some reason with Walcott..

33 with 5 to play. Good wildcard as I seem to be above average and next week looks lovely so banking my sub!

I had problems with my iPad in the days leading up to selection, thought I wasn’t signed up but was, so I got all the leftovers as had zero players on my watchlist. Still won a fair few of the H2H though..

Good idea backing West Ham / Huddersfield @ 4.9/1 Also got Swansea, Huddersfield, Celtic @ 9/2 so waiting for one of them to concede and make my Saturday as s*** as possible Edit 5 mins later West Ham down to 10 and Birmingham equalise. f*** off 10min later Swansea concede. Greeeeeeat

You’re not enroute to London are you?

I think the ground is too small for the early stages of VAR. unless I’m dreaming I’m sure they said it couldn’t be on one match the other week as of technology it requires to work so they only had it on the Brighton v Palace game. Somebody may correct me if I’m wrong..

Conte confirmed they’re without Courtois, Willian and Morata.

Wife works with Matt Ritchies wife’s best friend (she was bridesmaid at their wedding) - the woman in her work found out I’m a Geordie yesterday and decided to text his wife. ‘ wait til I tell Matt after training’ was the response yesterday. This morning her mate told my wife Ritchie said if you want a shirt or ever need help with tickets let them know. Replied with yes I’d like a signed shirt and he’s turned around and said ask if he wants my match worn Chelsea shirt or Burnley and who does he want to sign it. Replied with Chelsea - Ritchie sign the back and Rafa the front. Lovely jubbly Nice of him! (Cool story I know)

Aged 19-21 or so. Hope this is true. Can’t be worse than Joselu or Mitrovic as strikers surely!?

Atletico 1-1 Girona Fantastic stadium with a good atmosphere in general. Can only imagine what the Calderon was like. Made English fans look s*** (as we all know). Griezmann looked quality til he was subbed, Costa looked unfit, and the black CM (no idea who) was awful. However Saul dominated the match in midfield. Very good performance. CL final is there in 2019 - everyone will be impressed. Great views and I was in the cheapest seats (€40) so can only imagine what the lower ones are like.

Matchday Atletico v Girona. Hoping for (but not expecting) a goal fest.

Manchester City v Newcastle United - 20/01/2018 @ 17:30 (BT Sport)
Kevo replied to Altamullan's topic in Football
They’ll just drop their entire first team for Bristol City away in the cup semis. That’ll only leave them with the likes of Mangala, Delph, Toure, Gundogan, B.Silva... oh well But seriously keep it tight like the home game for as long as possible and you never know! Think it’ll be 3-1. -
As if somebody would prefer Short over Ashley Neither are great, but at least Ashley has got us into a decent financial situation. Sunderland are on their arse. They’ve got no money, history of players on high wages, big loan fees, sacking managers for fun, no crowds, free tickets thus no matchday revenue, no value in the squad. Despite having zero ambition, we have a decent wage structure, fairly stable in relation to manager fees over the years, sell out every week, no free tickets = big matchday revenue, most players worth at least £5-10 million. That’s not saying Ashley is good, mind. But we are streets ahead of them lot. Praying for another relegation and them to rot in League One for a few years.

Kane©, Eriksen, Ayew, Courtois delivering the points finally for me! Also had Lascelles / Gross. Otamendi, Bellerin, Sane, Sterling, Lacazette to play. Hoping for 70+.

Real lose again! Going to Atletico v Girona next Saturday. Any remaining Real v Deportivo go on general sale in two days might check the availability as that’s next Sunday (don’t think the wife will be happy mind )
-
Trying to go with the obvious has failed all season so might aswell take risks and go for less owned players. Firmino out Lacazette in

Showing the Premier League teams how to play against Man City (albeit minus a few regular players)
