Other than the signings we've made very recently who most of us haven't heard of? Bigi, Amalfitano and Good were all unknown to the vast majority.

You can't just say "who though?". The club will obviously have a list of well scouted players who they'd want who most of us haven't heard of or haven't seen much of. Carroll being asked to pick up where he left off with us is as much of, if not more of, a risk than us signing an "unknown" from abroad.

There it is again. Very little (if anything) in the last 18 months suggests Carroll is worth anywhere near the figures being discussed so it's perfectly logical to think we can do better, especially with the kind of players we're pulling out the hat these days.

As far as we know, no other team has an offer either in, or accepted for him so there's no real reason to worry. If another team were to show their hand first then I'm sure we'd act accordingly.

Surely the lack of action is down to him being with France for a month then having a long holiday? We knew we'd have to wait ages when our interest was "revealed".

Interesting to hear that Pardew doesn't think Carroll can play in a passing oriented side. We may be buying him so we hoof the ball high and long to him so half the stadium will look up and see those Sports Direct adverts that are often unseen when we pass it about. Yeah?

He didn't miss a game for us last season through injury. Having said that, if he does leave then karma will surely make his knee explode.

Who do you want to see a lot more of? All of them. We'll see what these players are made of when they play more/more often in games that matter.

While the hype around Vuckic was ridiculous and based on essentially nothing, he has only started about 5 games. One he was good in and one he was apparently voted MOTM in.
