  6. It's very recent. He was number 4 when he joined in January and also for a few days this pre-season while he was waiting for a new number http://i.imgur.com/Nh94L8U.jpg now he's number 9 http://i.imgur.com/rzA9jyg.png These are also from the last few weeks http://i.imgur.com/EesVulq.jpg http://i.imgur.com/IbYJnn8.gif http://www.ogcnice.com/fr/equipes/pros/effectif/joueur/437/ben-arfa (then photos) and one more from today of him clearly fucking ruining somebody http://i.imgur.com/4wD2rkp.jpg

  9. Keegan left after the first qualifying game.
  10. We're still getting 50k almost every week because of what Keegan did 20 years ago. That's some serious stability.
  11. Agreed - SBR was just as interested in money as KK ever was, hence the reason he turned SJH down when he was asked to take over from KK after he resigned in 97....SBR knew Barca were going to fire him and appoint LVG, but he wanted the pay-off. It was the second time he turned NUFC down as he was asked to be manager after Joe Harvey in 1975 when he was at Ipswich but refused again. He may have had good reasons but the fact that he turned us down twice takes away any claim he may have had to be on a par with KK ; SBR was a self-confessed fan from boyhood too but he was past his best as a manager by the time he joined us although he did a great job in stabilizing the ship after Gullit. He was almost as old as Harry Redknapp is now and nobody on here would dream of having Redknapp as manager. You fucking what? Considering he said it was out of a sense of loyalty, that's a shocker if you can back that up. He said if he knew how badly he'd be fucked over in the future by Barcelona he'd have taken the job. There was a large release clause (double his wages for 18 months) which we met it and matched his wages but Nunez said "Nobody leaves Barcelona. We sack people, they don't sack us" which ended everything.
  12. Well yeah, if the "modern footballer" is a massive cheat like Wayne Rooney. Or Steven Taylor, aye. They're all massive cheats. Lazy comeback. Aye, not the best come back considering everyone here hates Steven Taylor And it was 10 years ago. Shameful stuff from The Frog. Which makes it even worse. Diving wasn't as prevalent as it is now. If you're going to try and tell me Newcastle players don't dive I'm out. If that's the best comparison you can make then you shouldn't really speak on such matters. No Taylor's was much worse but it's the first one that came to mind. When I watch Newcastle I tend not to nitpick on things such as diving. I've come to accept it's not going away. The dive tonight is hardly nit-picking is it? Nor was it "better" than Taylor's, regardless of the historical context. Taylor got caught instantly and was shamed for weeks yet England captain Rooney gets a penalty and another free pass.

  17. One of his lesser known, yet biggest, achievements was to make Michael Owen enthusiastic about something for once in his miserable little life.
