Sounds like he could be decent backup, although he'd have to be on reasonable wages (assuming he'll come). Wouldn't want Sol Campbell MkII. He is not Sol Campbell MkII. I watched France - Croatia and he was very good against Benzema and Menez. He is on a 25k/week.

Just one minor problem - Sturridge isn't actually on the market. He wants to stay at Chelsea. I don't think so. He want to play every week. If Chelsea buy Lukaku or Neymar or both there is no place for him.
