That statement, IMO. Makes it even more imperative that we don’t sell him unless we get 2 strikers in and we get an offer of £150m as a minimum. I agree. But I’m not sure that makes the club look any better. Whether it is for the players the journo gobshites say we failed to sign, other players we have failed to land or that we are just not trying for any striker at all, which is doubtful, of course. The fact still remains that we are two weeks away from the window closing, approaching game week 2….. Sorry, matchday 2/our second league game of the season and we don’t currently have any senior strikers available at the club. It’s hardly ideal, to put it politely.

A player that can be very hit and miss with his finishing, doesn’t have a powerful shot on him, is a bit weak and no good in the air as our lone striker. I don’t see what the issue is, personally.
