  1. Our top earner is supposedly on around £160k a week. I think we have 5-6 players on 6 figures a week. Unless people believe the £500k a week figure for target What is your wage bill and average salary, I wonder…… You can pay more in wages than us. It isn’t really a stretch to suggest it would be utter bullshit that we would offer more money than you.
  2. Ah yes. The club whose top earner would be on a middle of the road salary at Man U. Have offered more money to Sesko AND he decided against it. I’ve got a bridge to sell you.
  3. Not saying it will be the case with him. As I have no idea if he would be getting a significant pay rise compared to what he is on at PSG. But if the money is right and they have a chance to showcase their talents in the self-proclaimed BEST LEAGUE IN THE WORLD. Then I highly doubt they will give a flying fuck.
  4. It’s worse than a failure. It’s completely unacceptable for a club that allegedly has ambitions of competing at the very top. I’d say heads should roll for such a pathetic transfer policy. But there’s not even anybody in the key positions of power to get the chop Which seems to be the main problem in itself. I don’t have an issue with targeting players that are perhaps that next rung up in value and proven ability to what we have mainly been going after before. But the complete inability to get a deal done or at least work on multiple deals or move onto the next one when it’s obvious we’re losing out. Is baffling. Hard to blame Howe or mini Howe too much. As they have been dealt a shit hand. But seems an incredibly rigid transfer policy and I don’t buy that we suddenly only have very obvious or unattainable and/or overpriced options to choose from. Nickson has been here years and we felt creative in the transfer market at times. Now it feels like a kid playing FM that only watches the Prem and the odd CL game.
  5. Some of their bit part players are on far more money than our top earners or what we can even pay in wages. Of course he was always choosing them once they finally decided to bid.
  6. More importantly for me. Is the fact they can pay far more in wages and fees. Along with them being a bigger club than us. We do it to teams from abroad and to a lesser extent, certain PL clubs. But we now seem to be shopping in the same market as the cartel and it is almost always only going to end one way for us. Never thought I’d buy into the paranoia and conspiracy theories. But the way all of these transfer sagas have played out. It feels like some real naivety on our part. Along with a calculated plan from the ESL clubs transfer teams and their client journalists/shills on Twitter. To fully disrupt our window and wait until the last minute to get involved.
  7. Right you long streak of piss. You’re staying until next season. Chin up you sulky twat.
  8. Even in their current wank state. Man U are a bigger club and will be able to pay more than double what we can in wages. That’s the problem with targeting these better players. The minute one of the cartel are interested. We’re not getting that player.
  9. I thought you meant David Brent for a minute as he does have some similarities. More deliberate Partridge than Brent. But I can see both.
  10. What?! That’s a tenuous link at best and just looking for something that isn’t there. Do they not wear 1-11 for internationals? Should he change to 14 every 2-4 years when they qualify for a tournament and it is squad numbers? Do players, other fans and the media put as much stock in THE FAMOUS NUMBER NINE as some of our fans seemingly do? I doubt it.
  11. I think he had a bit of a redemption arc. I thought he was brilliant when he came in. Timelines are all a bit fucked, as I didn't like watching us for quite a while. So I may have some this wrong. But I think it was post-injury and also from one or more howlers for Slovakia. I thought he then looked a bit shaky. It didn't matter too much, as we were regularly losing by more than one goal from memory But he seemed at fault or a bit soft for goals quite often. Pope looked miles ahead of him when he came in. Then Dubravka fucked off to Man U which I thought was a bit shitty. Didn't even try and fight for his place, then decided he'll go to Man U to play 2-3 games. Then when he came back in for Pope, he mainly looked crap. Rooted to his line and weak on anything to his right. But last season, certain facets of his game were great. Not sure he has always been so good with his feet or if Pope is just that bad that it was more noticeable. But his passing and ability on the ball helped in a lot of games. He made some cracking saves and seemed more pro-active off his line, too. It got to the point where it felt like the majority on here would have kept him in the team ahead of Pope. Which would have been unimaginable to think that the two seasons prior. Good luck to him and I'm glad that he can leave on a bit of a high after playing so well last season when called upon.
  12. Just seen the Barnes goal. I love how in this day and age of over playing and ‘just one more pass’ all the while. He just gets near goal and always decides he is cutting inside and having a dig
  13. Who is the white shirt guy?! I mean, they all look awkward and like they are dying from the cringe. I’m sure we have all had that face on at school, or in a meeting or in a social situation where you can’t just burst out laughing or say what you think. the whole thing is golden. Forgot how funny all their faces and expressions were.
  14. If he was agitating for a move and wanting to impress suitors even more. I don’t understand what he would have to gain by deliberately not trying and playing shite for a couple of months at the start and the end of the season? I understand why he is doing it now in the off season. Even if it is a dickhead move. I think it is more the case that his style is a bit languid, he generally has stamina issues and he has often been playing through injuries and looking off it/not fully fit for spells, ever since he signed. It’s nothing new. I’m not an N-O body language expert. But I didn’t notice much difference with his attitude or how he was generally. He has always been a bit cold and aloof. Hence being monikered the ‘Ice Man/Ice Cold’ I know plenty did previously highlight him not really celebrating other players goals. But I can’t say it is something I noticed.
  15. I feel that would usually be the case. But with the state of everyone’s mental health on here at the minute. I think you’ve got it the wrong way around. It’s not even like it’s glass half empty for the majority. It seems like the glass was smashed on the floor.
  16. Top man. I needed a laugh and always like being reminded of THOSE jeans
  17. You’re still thinking about the Isak news and the lack of impactful signings, aren’t you.
  18. Need to get a chant for him to the tune of Clair de Lune.
  19. Luke Edwards Graeme Bailey TuttoMercato Worst to best.
  20. It’s also not true, is it? Is it not more like 40% in the league? Less across all comps, at a guess. I did look the other day. But I can’t remember. Guessing on that league figure. But we scored 68 goals I think. Isak did not score 40 league goals
