How did he injure himself? Was it just a heavy impact thing? Hoping it's just a stinger and he'll be alright after the international break and he hasn't done anything that requires an op or a long rest period. Surely he wouldn't have been able to play on if he dislocated it.

I do also agree there. But I also think if Howe is adamant Isak won't be coming back into the squad and he doesn't trust him. Then I can't see any other option. As much as it would be a laugh if we just stuck him in the reserves and he tanked his career. That obviously isn't going to happen. Making assumptions here, of course. He could come back in and just click back into gear.

I'm in awe of the man. Not just as a manager and what he has done for NUFC and the fans. But how he conducts himself. As someone who it the polar opposite to how he is. I need some of what he's on

100%. I agree that we shouldn't be selling to Liverpool. Not unless they offer £150m as a bare minimum AND we get 2 strikers in. Which isn't going to happen. But if Howe really does feel like it's gone past the point of no return. Then I'd still back him if he wants him gone.

Just listening to Howe's post game interview. Honestly, Zen masters should be studying the bloke on how to regulate your emotions. I know he is always calm and measured. But no idea how composed he is with what he is saying. I'd be flipping tables and telling Hope and Edwards they're a pair of cunts, Joe Kinnear style. One thing I did takeaway was how he referenced 'players that want to play for Newcastle' a good 5-6 times. I wonder if he does genuinely want rid of Isak and is fed up with his shit, dating back to the end of last season.

Unlike last season, where the performances didn't match the results. We should be on 4, if not 6 points from 2 games, off the back of 2 very good performances. Yet we sit here with 1, no strikers, one of our top players banned for 3 games and a load of injuries. Like Yorkie and KI have said. The fact Tonali and Joelinton now look like they'll be missing for months is just a massive kick in the bollocks. It could derail our good start (performance wise).

Revista used to be absolute class. Always watched that after work. Mark Bolton I think his name is, is just synonymous with La Liga coverage on Sky and can always recognise his voice. Think he even commentated on a few of our games over the years.

I don't watch their more social media type, online stuff. But doesn't that James Alcott get on Sky now and also the lady whose name I have forgotten who is very good? Italian sounding name? So when they're not paying ex-players who offer absolutely fuck all insight or platforming social media personalities for clickbait. They can do it. I just don't think statto types or journos will ever be accepted. It will just be 'how many games have you played?!' type comments aimed at them. From ex-pros and angry Da's alike.

I don’t enjoy football as much as I used to and it doesn’t feel quite so life or death, as it did for me growing up. 36 now. But I don’t get up for games anywhere near as much as I used to when I had an ST for a couple of seasons and then a member for a good bit after that. I also used to do loads of aways with a mate and his family who I’ve been going with since I was 16. All since the away ticket changes came in. It’s just not worth the risk. So I feel a bit disconnected from NUFC, the city and the people. Even though this group of players and manager are the best I’ve seen in my lifetime. Modern football just feels off. I can’t think of the right word for it?! Clinical, cold, dead, detached? Something like that. From how overly complex and tactical it has become. The way mavericks are getting coached out the game. The physicality is being taken out bit by bit every year. Right through to PSR and eye watering amounts of money and wages. All whilst everyone else in the country gets poorer and can barely afford to go or buy their kids one of the many £100 kits that come out every season. Maybe I’m just getting old and everyone likes to romanticise the past and how their era was better. But excluding the reign of King Cabbageheed, when I refused to go. I’ve never felt less enthused about going to games as I have at the start of this season. Which is mental considering how good we are and that we finally won a trophy. EDIT - oh and VAR. How the fuck did I forget VAR. Probably my biggest gripe with it all. Utter, utter shite and has ruined the game.

This is where I’m at. I remember saying last season he’d be a great pickup and someone put me right on here saying Wolves had an obligation to make the move permanent. He then went on a run of missing some decent chances. So I thought I must have been chatting shit as per usual I just guess with all the uncertainty around Isak and the fees we are getting quoted. Anyone we sign is going to seem like a downgrade on Isak and a tough act to follow. Hard to see players coming in for such big money as an actual Wilson replacement. But I like what he brings and I think he’d flourish in our team if we were to sign him.
-
I really don’t understand him getting shit? It always looks bad when keepers don’t dive. But genuine reasons for the 1st and 3rd and he’s getting nowhere near either. First one Gravelbag shut his foot on the ball late if you’re being kind. Scuffed it if you’re not. It goes through Bruno’s legs and then Schar waves a leg at it too. Pope is half shifting the other way and it is post and in down low, regardless. Never getting there. Second he has no chance. Again low into that bottom corner. Post and in. Third he is coming back across goal and the lad whips it into the inside of the side netting back into the corner he is moving away from, from about 12 yards out. I suppose if you’re being really critical he could rush out to close the space down. But that probably would have gone even worse for him. Yes his kicking is crap. Have a dig at that by all means and maybe Ramsdale improves the team there. But no keeper is saving any of those finishes last night.
-
Don’t disagree. But you’re not going to get away with that. At least wait until nearer the end of the game if you want to try and do him. Not that I think Gordon even does. It’s a rush of blood, he half tries to pull out. But it’s too late.

Fair play with the statement. Actions speak louder than words, though. Also can’t believe the amount of people trying to justify the tackle. Due to him playing out of position and VVD being ‘clever’ or just flat out saying it’s not a red. It’s about as blatant of a red card as you will ever see. Excessive force, out of control, studs raking down VVD’s leg. Take your pick.

After a first season of being mostly reasonable and likeable enough. He was already going full Klopp 20 minutes into the first game of the season. Didn’t take the cunt long. Must come with the territory.
-
Slot moaning about timewasting FFS I couldn’t believe what I was seeing first half from the mighty Liverpool. They clearly wanted a slow, bitty game. They were taking an age to do anything. They were regularly going long as they couldn’t beat our press.
-
Glad I turned it off

Gordon wasn’t bad. He played well. Just not a centre forward and never looks like scoring. How many head losses is that since he’s signed now? Two needless reds fairly close together. Brentford away? The long running headloss before he got his new contract. Sick to death of it.
-
Quiet game. Unlucky not to get an assist and has been making clever runs to create space. Weird that he seems a bit slower than usual, though. Szob is an athlete and not a RB. But didn’t even try and run him once?!
-
Fucking sick of that braindead cunt. Read all the books and play all the chess you want. Still losing your head like that is pathetic.
-
Clearly a red.
-
Turning this off. Gordon is an idiot.
-
What has happened to Bruno’s through balls and all.
-
We need a centre forward (no shit). Played well for half an hour without really looking like troubling Alison. Had plenty of good passes, crosses, opportunities that could develop and we just lack that killer instinct. Trippier having a bit of a mare defensively and lucky not to be in the book.

Christ alive. He gets everywhere that old grinch.
