Great feet for a big man (best said in a Scottish accent). Really nice touch and gets his body in well. Looks slow, but was regularly creating space and finding a yard. I Can see him working well with our wide men and those Bruno passes into feet. Always wary of strikers coming from the Bundesliga. But he doesn’t look like he is purely about goals and it’s not like he has a limited skillset. Loads of time to develop and grow (not literally) under Howe.

I know he has been highly rated on here by a few. Plus he was hyped at the U21 Euro’s, which is the only time I have seen him. Big money. Guess it means one more who is maybe a bit more PREM PROVEN™️ and then Isak goes. Can’t see us getting just him at £60-70m and keeping Isak.

Not exactly easy but it never was going to be. Could always be worse. Some winnnable home games in there. Away not so much. Union SG and Leverkusen I think we could get points.

Leverkusen away and Benfica at home could be far worse. Pot 1 and 2 were always going to be brutal.

Surely we can’t go into the season with no striker? We’ve had all summer to replace Wilson and we’ve known about the Isak nonsense for the same amount of time, by all accounts. Looking like a very realistic possibility now. Shambles.

Like I said in my first post. Obviously I don't watch you every week or pay loads of attention to each one of your players. I forget how young Yoro is and obviously he has loads of potential and is already playing at the top level in this country. I can honestly say I've never once watched him and thought he had a great game or that he stood out. Looks a bit last gasp, to me. But that's possibly just the way you set up. De Ligt the same, looks incredibly average, especially considering the money you spent. I like Shaw, shame he has had so many injuries. Ah yes, Arsenal. The world's most boring team when they get a lead. I remember them beating Spurs 1-0 away under Arteta and then didn't have a shot on or off target for over a half. So they got a lead due to yet another keeper error and then you had 2-3 good chances, probably should have scored. But you managed.... zero. Brilliant. As for Fulham, your goal was a foul and a massive fluke considering Yoro's header was going wide. See, easy to just point to individual moments in isolation like that, isn't it? You were quality early on, then reverted to type from what I saw. What about all the shite served up last season? What about last night? Do these games not count or something?! On Bruno, do you think something has changed? I might be remembering it wrong, but I'm sure not long ago you were saying he was fine in a 2, made loads of tackles, interceptions, covered a lot of ground etc. But even by his miserable and angry standards. Something seems amiss with him this season? You could get a competent keeper and I think it would sort out a lot of your troubles. Just because you would stop playing games -1 or -2 due to keeper errors I see you keep getting linked with the Belgian lad. But no idea what he is like or if he is any good or not.

It’s not really about just the one point. It’s how in his entire time here. He has barely won a game that he wasn’t expected to win and you’ve looked, well to me, anyway. Even worse than you did before. You went all in on goals. Yet still don’t have a functioning midfield or a decent keeper at the club. You don’t seem to know who your best 3 CB’s are or if you actually have any decent ones are your only recognised wingbacks Dorgu and Dalot? Dorgu looks nowhere near ready. Dalot seems to get slated by all your fans whenever he has played! You’re right that it seems daft to bin him after spending all that money. I’d argue it’s daft to go all in on a manager that seems so rigid with his tactics. I really don’t get it with Amorim. All I hear is how he should be given time, how fans can see what he is trying to do, the media give him an easy ride and plenty say he is a nice guy and speaks well. Admittedly it isn’t as if I watch all his press conferences or all their games. But outside looking in. He still has no clue what his best XI looks like, the players don’t fit his system, he hasn’t addressed the glaring holes in the squad (keeper and CM), they’re constantly easy to play against/through. And all this while he has frozen out a load of fairly expensive and/or valuable players and politely said they’re not good enough or their attitude is wrong. His record is absolutely pathetic and I can’t get my head around what an easy time of it he gets. From the media and Man U fans alike.

Like a very complex house move with 11 people in the chain this. Everyone is just going to struggle to get a replacement. As the club they are buying from are also waiting to sign a replacement before selling their striker. So nobody will end up moving with such little time left. That wouldn’t be so bad if we actually had a fucking striker to keep in the first place
