Nah. Fuck him, he's a snide little rat Plus he's a Brazilian playing for Italy. Bruno can't abide that
-
If it was another manager, I'd have more hope. But he loves smoke and mirrors in his press conferences. He must be nowhere near full fitness and all. He already looked a yard off it vs Fulham and then got the injury or reaggravated an existing knee problem. I remember when Tindall did one and followed his approach. He tried to make out Isak might play at the weekend. But he was terrible at it and it was such a blatant lie. I think he didn't play for another few weeks after that game
-
But he looks like he is miles away from playing and whilst it is harsh as he's only had limited minutes. He looked crap at LB and ok a couple of times at CB and then atrocious the other time against West Ham. Considering he'll be on a PL starting player sort of salary and he signed on a free. So I would guess he'd be on pretty big money and all (not the £150K people keep going on about on here ) then it makes perfect sense. Instant profit and put that money to good use trying to get players that will actually contribute and push to be starting games. Not a PSR expert like some on here. But does it not help in that regard with giving us money to rebuild and to look at players that are going to feature? We need a bit of a rebuild at the back, yes. Holding onto a player who doesn't appear to be in Howe's plans and is actually covering for a position where we are well stocked makes no sense. Also, I think perfection is a bit strong. It's not ideal. But another season with Pope in nets and maybe a younger back up type who might surpass him as number one soon isn't that bad of an idea IMO. The same as if we were to sign a RCB. We would actually look like we have some decent depth across the defence, apart from maybe left back.
-
Hilarious that the one he got booked for was the only one that wasn't a yellow, or even a foul IMO The rest he is desperate for a yellow and lucky not to get sent off that game
-
Schar is getting an extension, by the sounds of it. If we were to sign Guehi, or someone for the RCB role around a similar age. We would have a starting back 4 next season who are all 25 and under. Burn and Schar for another season, possibly even two, as back ups and rotation options hardly sounds terrible. They bring valuable experience and should we get into Europe. It will mean we have some genuine options if we want to change the side or we get injuries. I'd say we do need some cover for Tino. As I'm not sure we should be relying on Krafth as second choice and Trippier is most likely off and past it, regardless. But Kelly didn't help much here. I don't think he particularly helped at left back, either. As he looked poor there when he did play. He was now our 3rd choice LCB and 2nd or 3rd choice LB. Seems like Targett will be off. So we were going to need another left back regardless IMO. Goalkeeper is irrelevant to this and you could argue getting rid of Kelly actually helps here with giving us some more HEADROOM (TM) It looks like a bit of a rebuild to an ageing defence and they saw £15-20m for someone who isn't close to breaking through into the first XI, who is supposedly on a decent contract, as too good to turn down. I agree with the club on that.

Yep. Played wide and 10 his whole career, I thought? Even in this run where Bourenmouth have no strikers available. He isn't playing up top. What a lazy, shit rumour. Expect nothing less from those cunts, mind.
-
Not only that. He isn't even a centre forward. So we plan on replacing a striker with a number 10/wide forward, do we?!
-
Who cares. They’ll be straight back down along with Sheff Utd/Burnley. I think Leeds could maybe break the trend of the same 3 back down again. As it feels like they’d spend a bit and have been the best team in that league so far.
-
Play-off heartache again, I reckon.
-
Chelsea have been below par/crap, again. But they’re going to nick a win here. Annoying.
-
I’m sure I’ll get pelters. But I wouldn’t be that upset if Gordon were to leave for the right price. Don’t feel as bothered about him as I do Bruno, Isak, Joelinton, Botman and Tonali. Seems a top pro and a great guy off the field. I just find him one dimensional and actually quite frustrating as a player. All hypothetical, of course and I’d much rather he stayed along with the rest of them.

So a minimum of £14.5m. Good chance it gets pushed up close to £20m. I thought he looked decent on the ball, quite aggressive at times with pressuring attackers back to goal. Fairly quick. Just very weak in the air and in proper battles. He would often back off a player when they were dribbling direct to goal. Which really annoyed me. I think it’s a weakness of Schar’s at times, too. It didn’t seem like he had much chance of breaking through here. But I don’t think he’s a bad player. Decent business, for sure.

Said it before in here. Leicester supporting mate wasn’t disappointed he left. He said when they had that slump and their Plan A stopped working. He had no clue how to stop the rot and get back on track. Felt like they were a bit lucky in the end. They could still win tonight, mind and it’s not like Leicester are doing very well without him But I can’t imagine the form table makes for good reading for Chelsea fans.

Talk about damning with faint praise. “Not as good as Raya’s yesterday.”
-
Whilst also being annoying that we didn’t capitalise ahead of our tough run to end Feb.
-
How long has Areola had that lid?! Looks like Gomez Addams.
-
Came in here to say this. Another one for the football pet hates thread. Refs always give those nothing fouls when there is a promising attack developing. Just in case it results in a goal and it’s controversial. Never see it the other way. Always feels like the ‘safe’ decision.

Hayden Hackney is a terrific name. That is all. Got the Chelsea game on. It’s been dreadful so far. So might watch the second half of the Boro game.
-
Shifted Duran and a couple of other fringe players, no? Did Buendia go out on loan in the end? They did get Malan in too, mind.
-
Signed on a free. Sold to Italy. Oh Lloyd Kelly.
-
Needs to come on at FT in his brace if we win to Stone Cold’s music. Then deliver a stunner to Arteta, Havertz and Gabriel.
-
Earlier in the season we seemed to salvage something in the second half. As we were often behind. But for quite some time, we are often worse in the second half home and away. So I'm all for this.

Wasn’t it a weakness of Given’s though?! Trafford’s FBRef does suggest he is below average on crosses and someone on here said their Burnley mate calls him ‘Flapper Trafford’
