Yeah, I feel like there has been some re-writing of his history from some with Wood. Like he was actually fine for us and he just got loads of unfair stick from the boo boys. As always, the truth is probably somewhere in the middle. I suppose he did his job in the sense that he was a body, he played centre forward and he ran around and did score the odd meaningful goal, was it 3 or 4? But he was often like a walrus trying to control a beach ball with his touch. His link up play was far worse than what I've seen from him at Forest and back to goal, for a big lad, he was shite. Regularly just won flick ons to nobody. I think towards the end. He looked totally devoid of all confidence and for £25m, he just seemed like a busted flush. Even factoring in us staying up and Burnley going down. He was crap to start with at Forest and I think their fans were saying similar? I did say in this topic last night that he seemed a decent guy, I never felt like he was hiding and not putting it in. I think he even had good words to say about us when he left and we recouped a lot of the money spent. So their can't be any hard feelings. He would have had every right to celebrate that hat trick and all, but he chose not to. That says a lot about him and his views on our club, IMO. Really pleased to see him doing well and that his form is contributing to another unfashionable club competing in the top 4.

Cunha is class. But Semedo, whilst rapid, can’t defend. They’ve been playing alright without Lemina from what I’ve seen, although I do rate him. If we’re concerned about Craig Dawson in 2025. Well….. They look a lot better since O’Neil left. New manager bounce, slight change in style, fresh ideas. But they seem wide open a lot of the time. If we’ve got designs on top 4. We need to be beating the 17th placed team at home.

As a starter? I hope we’d be aiming a bit higher than him. He looks tiny (listed at 6 2”, of course) and a bit flappy at times. I think the same applies to Trafford, personally. But I suppose both are young in goalkeeping terms.
-
No. They’d have a game in hand and they’ll beat or draw with Everton I’d say. 10-12 points to make up. Just win tomorrow. Then Saturday. Then the Saturday after. See where we end up.
-
Don’t they say they stop the clock for stoppages such as subs, goals, injuries etc. I agree with you there. As it feels a bit random at times. Not sure how they’d do it, mind. Nor would they want to.

I think he always does that. He massively annoys me. But I also kind of like him. He sounds so excited and impressed about everything, all the time. His commentary was great for our PSG win. Maybe that’s swaying my opinion

Forest’s numerous injuries/attempts at time wasting?

Fletch is a Forest fan

Sels has turned into prime Buffon
-
The Sels of old on the corner. Now gone back to his usual Forest form.

Salah has been woeful. Jota Silva looks like a cross between Grealish and The Count off Sesame Street.
-
Just been sat here grinning. Was flicking about a bit earlier. But settled on the Liverpool game. Love the full midweek set of fixtures that you get now and then.
-
Jota. Bagsman.

Liverpool really need a new left back. Robertson looks done. They best not come after Hall. They can have Kelly

Corr. Flicked to the Brentford game and City scored. Saw Savinio diving like an absolute fanny. So turned over to the Chelsea game in disgust. Just in time to see Bournemouth score Big last 25 here for Maresca. Leicester fans said last year they lost their way a bit and it just snowballed. Their form has been shocking the last 4-5 league games.

I know Forest defend well and in numbers. But some of the unforced errors by Liverpool. Everyone half jokingly said the wheels were off after the Man U game. Based on their last 2.5 games. They have certainly lost a bit of form. I suppose it was always going to happen. Pretty rare to be able to keep up that sort of pace in all comps.

I thought he was dreadful for us. But it was never like he hid or didn’t put a shift in. I wouldn’t have been arsed if he did and he had every right to. But I thought it was pretty telling how he didn’t celebrate a world class hat trick back at SJP. Says a lot about him. I think he enjoyed his time here. I’m also really happy for him and that his career is back on track. Well, the best it’s ever been!

He was somehow worse on the Madrid game the other night
-
What’s the over/under for how many snide fouls Yates is allowed before he’s booked? He’s somehow mastered that art better than Casemiro.
-
Forest certainly make the most of their counters. I can’t remember watching a team so ruthless on the break.
-
Turned proper end to end. Both teams have been a bit wasteful.
-
Didn’t he play more of a box to box role most of his career? Before Madrid put him in attacking mid and that weird sort of false 9 role a lot of the time? New system will be coming in soon, anyway. It’ll be interesting to see what Tuchel does. As it felt like Southgate moved away from all the favourites to start with and went with less fashionable names. But most were fed up with his tactics and team selections towards the end.

Brentford should probably be ahead here. City look very leggy chasing them about the pitch. Brentford have been passing round their press reasonably well. So far, anyway.
