  1. Someone described Dewsbury Hall as sounding like ‘a place chavs go to get married’ and it is spot on
  2. Buffalo Bill or Edwards dancing round his gaff? I think I'd take my chances in Bill's dungeon over going for a pint (red wine) with Baldwards.
  3. This is it for me. I'm not sure it's 'absolutely disgusting'. I think some of the carry on from Louise Taylor and I think one other journo with the Tonali questions would a bit closer to that. But he really is always trying to make some funny comment and be a bit edgy. He gets on one of the 5 Live podcasts now and then. Annoyingly, he isn't that bad at speaking and getting his point across. But he is just a dislikeable character and is always acting the clown on there and all.
  4. You think? I reckon I’ve learnt 20 Turkish words reading through that bloke’s entire Twitter feed
  5. Nice one, cheers. The hoodie the other lad ordered looks spot on. So hoping the jumper I got will be similar and they get it out to us no bother.
  6. I remember driving to an away game v Birmingham years ago, getting somewhere near spaghetti junction and my mate calling me asking if I’d heard the news? It was called off because of snow. Turned round and went back home. I think I went to the rearranged game and we won 2-0. Leon Best header? Been to at least one other game there and I have it in my head Owen or Martins scored. Not a memorable ground or experience, obviously. Bit of a shithole round there. I do remember at one of the games. A group of young charvas getting escorted out the home end before we’d even kicked off. Due to all the abuse, throat cutting gestures and general shitcunt behaviour

    Harvey Barnes

To echo what others have said. Crap news and for a few reasons. It might mean Almiron stays, even if he has suitors. Barnes is also a great option late on when trying to get something and when the game has opened up. He hasn’t really been needed much in this 8 game winning run. But there will be times in the next month or so when we could do with his goal threat off the bench.
  8. Anyone used Art of Football before? Ordered a class looking jumper off there. They’ve sent me someone else’s order Hoping it is easy and painless to sort out.
  9. Yeah. I was talking to my Arsenal supporting mate the other day. Don't worry, one of the sound ones. Said we're the best team to come to the Emirates and properly did a job on them. Made it so that most of their chance were rushed, frustrated them, defended so well for the most part etc. Anyway, I digress. He was saying they have spent loads of money on what have ended up being squad players. They still rely so much on Saka, for his goals, assists, creating space for everyone else, his great delivery from set pieces. So everything in an attacking sense, basically I know most teams would struggle without their star player. But you would have thought they would at least have a couple of other dangerous attacking players they could call on. Still no striker, loads of sort of middling (by their standards) midfielders, a lot of defensive options. Just lacking standouts at the business end of the pitch. He just thinks for the most part, the money has been wasted and they've regressed as a footballing side.
  10. Those two combined cost less than Rice, I thought? Circa £35-40m and £50-55m for Tonali. I thought Rice was £100-105m? Not so sure on that second paragraph I think Rice is a great player. Certainly not been as effective this season under Mikel Pulis’ new setup.
  11. Ah. I see that’s ok and we’re not allowed faux outrage in reply. But this isn’t ok? Also, people are also going the other way over said rumours and speculation and looking for a positive spin? Which is it? So we’re now just guessing at stuff across the board depending which player we like/don’t like?
  12. That is the plan, apparently. But even though we have a new setup with Bunce. I still worry about our injuries and return dates!
  13. Like the other day when you used a Dubravka fuck up to give shit to Pope Works the same way with you for Pope, apparently.
  14. @Groundhog63 is going to be very upset at all the anger in here My post looks calm and balanced by comparison.
  15. Sensitive little so and so aren’t you?
  16. Yes. I’m very angry So should we never discuss team selection, players we may or may not sign, tactics etc on here. Because let’s be honest. We all know fuck all about that and all
  17. Let him do that then? If he genuinely is that desperate to leave? Or get them to pay a fee. Also, not that this sort of scenario is going to be all that common. But it’s a dangerous precedent to set. I’m guessing it would also put him on more than Pope and other first team players. So could potentially cause issues that way. We don’t know all the ins and outs. So purely speculating. But IF this is true and it is a big if, I know. It is Dubravka and his team driving it. Then after the Man U fiasco. He can fuck right off.

    Vakhtang Salia

Loved his answers. Comes across as a confident lad. But I also liked that he didn’t want to talk himself up and say what his best attributes are. Hopefully he can make it here. Unlike some of the other young’uns we’ve bought over the years.
  19. So has he got Botman or Kelly confused with Targett?!
  20. I wasn’t there yesterday. But it’s become a bit ridiculous and I’m sure it never used to be so loud? If they do the TV setup on the side of the pitch, like what TNT do. You can tell the pundits are struggling to hear properly and it sounds awful on TV. Never mind actually being in the ground.
  21. Fuck. I love Laurent Robert. Always enjoy watching this when I see it pop up. Also tinged with a bit of sadness as it reminds me how long ago it was and how old I now am
  22. I agree with Jonny. Osula’s goal was better. Still a belter, of course. On the season, Barnes at Wolves and Isak against Liverpool beat it. So without trying too hard to remember any others. It’s top 5, for sure.

    Will Osula

The run he makes for the one on one he wastes is really good and he shows great pace. Quite impressive that we've probably only seen him get space a handful times in his apps so far and he's been put through for a chance and also put in down the line for a goal. In a more open game, he would look a lot better. But he is still really raw and a bit wayward with some of his play. So I do understand Howe being reluctant to give him more minutes. I do think he offers far more than Gordon up top, mind. But if Isak is coming off, it's usually going to mean we have a lead. But in these cup games or God forbid, when Isak is missing. I'd rather see him up top.
  24. There was one passage of play. Where I think he may have won it back, or at least broke from deep. Made a really good run, actually beat some players, put in shit loads of effort and actually had his head up for once looking for options. Did all the hard work and everything was perfect. Before turning inside and passing straight to a Bromley player. The pass was so tame and off target, as well. You could hear the collective groans and I think Almiron even fell over afterwards. Summed up his game and his recent appearances.
  25. Nah. Wasn’t too arsed. Even though I personally don’t WANT HIM TO STAY. I don’t think ‘Martin Dubravka. Thanks for everything and this mini run of form. But it’s probably time for you to go’ has the same ring to it.
