He played a lovely ball out to Trippier first half for that first time cross. He also did that reverse sort of slide rule pass in the second. So he has it in his locker. He just regularly takes the safe 5-10 yard option instead. I’m hoping he might get some confidence from this game. I thought he was really good.

I thought he was brilliant in both halves. Would like to see him be a bit more purposeful near their box, though. They defended deep and in numbers a lot. But he was playing very safe most the while.
