What a fucking mess. Shifting a bunch of fans that enjoy a good sing song for no reason. Increasing the away end to 4,000 instead of 3,000. The club have surprisingly made another horrendous mistake

I was going to right pretty much the same thing ,if Pardew had any balls he would walk away imho but we dont know what sort of hold they have over him (casino debts) or he might not give a s*** and take one for the boys .His press conference will be very interesting and hopefully the red tops will give him the right questions and make him squirm and rightly so. "If Pardew had any balls he would walk". What good would f***ing that do? People need to come off that s***. I'm really glad he's hanging in there. We'll be in total mess if he leaves. This. For God's sake get a grip everyone. Yes he tends to put his foot in his mouth but while these owners are here we aren't going to get any better. All he needs to do is shut his trap, coach the side as best he can and try and keep the spirit up. Spot on. He would get much more respect and credit if he stopped trying to appease the fans by lying. Lost count of the broken '100%' promises and constant contradictions. Quite like the bloke, but he needs to pipe the fuck down and stop misleading everyone!

Can't believe we didn't push harder for a centre half.

What were the groundsmen playing at?! Driving about on the East Stand roof in their tractors

I certainly think people get a bit caught up in the fact he was free. If it wasn't for the dildo twins negligence, he probably would have left for £5m-£8m, didn't they buy him for about £7m? Hope the fans at the match are a bit more supportive of him. Seemed to be quite a few near me at the Fulham game that had already decided he was utter shite and were pretty much jeering him and looking for negatives :-[

One step forward, 18 steps back. Seems to be a recurring pattern since these cunts have been in charge. How many pro Ashley fans are still out there now then? I thought the Gallowgate Sports Direct shite was bad, but this is just hideous. Heard rumours about this a while back, but thought surely MA can't be that ridiculous. Oh how wrong I was...........

Whatever his strengths, he's always been poor at defending set pieces. Previously, we've worked around that at free kicks, and not asked him to mark any of the better headers of the ball among the opposition. This season I don't think we've been protecting him so much and it cost us yesterday. It nearly cost us at Scunthorpe. Nolan and Barton were quite good at helping out at set pieces so maybe we've not got much choice. But if it's about Colo becoming captain and feeling he needs to set a good example then we need to think again. yup, two errors, one at scunthorpe where a poor clearance by him, they put back into the box and they scored, then yesterday he was nowhere near the man he was meant to be marking who got a free header. Didn't help that Krul was in no man's land though. Should never have got lobbed like that. This is not the time, my friend. Sorry for the bump, will revert to transfer posts only from now on

Bit of an Ian Beale barnet to be honest.
-
Still hope we're looking for a centre half like.
-
Ferguson, Ba, Marveaux, Gosling, Guthrie........................Shola, Sammy, Vuckic A lot more options than past seasons mate!
-
I think we need a centre back more urgently than a forward TBH. If Taylor or Colo got injured at QPR, we could face up to 5 or 6 games with Simpson or Perch at centre half. Kadar seems to have been banished from Newcastle! If that Bassong rumour is true, I'd be pretty happy TBH, even after previously stated I would want him nowhere near the club. Probably BS though.
-
Buzzing to see this lad play. Only slight concern is him being predominantly (sp) right footed. However, I'm sure he will use the outside as well as cutting in. If Jonas/Marveaux/HBA keep the width, then it shouldn't be a huge problem. If they start drifting in field as well it could become an issue IMO. Still can't believe we've signed this kid though. Thought we had no chance of getting a player like Santon.
-
It's not so much that I don't rate him. I think he's a talented youngster, a bit unproven at this level mind. I just don't see the point in improving a player from another team in the league. People will complain that we didn't play him enough (Rossi), or he'll just fuck off back to Man U at the end of the season and look decent for them (Welbeck). We really should have had our own striker in a long time ago. It's likely that Macheda will just take the place of Sammy or Vuckic on the bench and hinder their development. At least with Sturridge you know you'll get goals and he'd start every week, and if we got PVA we'd have a chance of signing him at the end of the loan. Probably the only two loan deals I'd be keen on.

Was sat about 15-20 rows back in the Leazes, sounded pretty decent I thought., hope it picks up over the season. L7 was still fairly loud, still loads of anti Ashley chants though, great decision Mike
-
Would be a pointless, terible deal for both parties. Wouldn't start games, wouldn't even be first striker off the bench. Not what we need either.
-
Hope we've got a contingency plan, oh and I hope that plan isn't Macheda!
-
I know this is meant a bit in jest, but in all seriousness it can't have gone un-noticed (the big drop in attendances) Even Ashley and Llambias aren't that blind. Eh? Didn't we get about 47,500 in against Arsenal, 5:30 pm KO live on TV? Then 42,500 in agsint Fulham, 1pm KO on a Sunday and 3500 empty seats in the away end. Should have just extended the away end from 2,800 to 3,000 as it is pointless against the likes of Fulham, Blackburn, Wigan etc.
-
Aren't personal terms normally agreed first? As others have said, worried by our lack of options at centre back now.
-
Spot on. Sure I read this somewhere before as well, not sure if it was in the paper or somebody else on this forum mentioning it.

I've sat near some right mongs at SJP, but never heard or seen anything as ridiculous as that. Towards a player who has played about 2 hours of competitive football for us
